The hotel is set in a beautiful quiet area on a hill, full of trees. It has a very nice architecture. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had a fridge. There is no carpet on the floor, which was very pleasant as is was hot outside. It was nice to have a restaurant on the site. The dishes were very tasty. There was a free parking. Our pet was welcome.

The sower cabin was very narrow, AC loud and not very efficient. Personally, we would have preferred if the restaurant had an a la carte option .

We chose this hotel for convenience because our ferry was arriving late in Ancona. It turned out to be a great choice and would recommend fellow travellers. It was set in beautiful countryside, so very quiet, the grounds were beautiful and the room was wonderfully cool after a very hot day. We chose to eat in their restaurant, which was in a pretty little courtyard and the food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful, explaining everything in English. We were lucky enough to have a little dining room to ourselves for breakfast. Very romantic for two old travellers! A great spread for breakfast, which is not always the case in Itlaly, and coffee made by a person, not a confusing machine.

We stay here every time we visit friends in Fano and have returned many times and will continue to do so. The hotel is beautiful, such lovely gardens and courtyard. Also it is very close to Fano and to the motorway but it is so quiet and safe. The staff are always really helpful and kind, which is critical for us because my husband is now registered disabled. They made sure we had a suitable room and where we could park our car right outside the door. The breakfast was delicious with a good choice of hot and cold foods.

This is not a "dislike", more of a comment. I could say the pool is a little small but it is a beautiful infinity pool, with lovely surroundings and very clean. Anyway, I think one visits this hotel because of it's charm, peacefulness, lovely helpful staff and location, rather than to go swimming.

Location was beautiful. Bathroom left a lot to be desired, small and not very neat and with the bidet in the shower. Restaurant I would say food was ok but bland, no tastes stood out, nothing was bad but nothing was even vaguely memorable. Staff were very helpful, especially Andrea and Matteo, but I must underline that the place was WOEFULLY understaffed, with few people doing the work of many.

We stopped at this castle on our way to Brindisi — it’s a very atmospheric and cozy place. The dinners were delicious, and the breakfast was good. There’s a pool as well, although we didn’t get a chance to use it.

We were given a room on the ground floor, and the main downside was the lack of windows. Also, someone was walking very noisily above us during the night.

The castle was inside a huge park with goals fields and a upper view to the city of Fano. Also we were inside the tower so while having a nice view to the city we had it on the pool outside. The room was small, but very cozy, with air conditioning. We had breakfast a and dinner and was perfect and studied in all the small details

Ik stayed there several times on my many trips from Greece to Holland. Twice per year with my two labradores. I like a room on the ground floor to walk with the dogs up and down is not a good idea on my age.

What I don't like is that Booking.com asks this kind of direct questions and inform guests that they still can cancel. That does not help the owners of hotels

Staff were friendly and welcome with a complementary glass of wine, a lovely outdoor pool, a very relaxing place to stay, with local produce being served, beautiful building with lovely views. Lovely contnental breakfast good selection, It's worth every penny. I highly recommend staying.😊

As you head west, you leave behind the crowded strip of land on the Adriatic coast that includes the town of Fano, the railway and the motorway and you begin your climb into the foothills of the Apennines, in the direction of the monastic Eremo di Monte Giove (Monte Giove Hermitage). The narrow road has not risen by much before you turn onto the driveway, rising through wooded grounds to the foot of a brick staircase leading to the front door of Castello Montegiove. The property is not so much a 'castello' as a country house, or mansion and although imposing from the outside, thanks to the neo-gothic elements and castellations, its internal proportions are much more domestic and comfortable. Standing on the east terrace, which includes an oval-shaped swimming pool, the ground drops away, giving views across the town towards the sea. The windows in our room also looked in this direction, enhancing the sense of space and removal from the hustle and bustle of the coastal strip. The exceptional location of this property is complemented by respectful, friendly and informative service from all staff, all of them excellent. This is not an anonymous, corporate hotel, where your welcome depends on corporate policy on greeting guests. No, it is warm and personal. We immediately felt that are presence was appreciated. The non-corporate theme continued in the bedroom, furnished with pieces you might associate with a domestic setting. Yet, the comfortable canopied bed, en-suite bathroom, tv, internet, safe, all functioned efficiently. The included breakfast was generous, varied and delicious, with freshly made coffee to awaken the day served by again, excellent staff. You may be busily passing through the area, have business in Fano, or perhaps you're simply taking a break in the area to enjoy historical sights or the beach... Whatever brings you to the area, this haven of peace is the ideal jumping off point.

There was really nothing that we didn't like on this short visit. The only disappointment for anyone visiting the area without a car might be that the property is not easily accessible without one.

A small boutique style hotel in a restored castellated building occupying an elevated site with commanding views of Fano and the sea. very relaxed and friendly with charming staff. Nothing is too much trouble and lots of fabulous local knowledge on wine, culture including nearby towns like Urbino.

only slight gripe, the mattresses could be a little better doesn’t stop us returning year after year, the staff are like old friends
