The local cuisine at the home stay is exceptional . The owner is very courteous and goes out of his way to arrange all that his guests require of him. He is also a great raconteur and knows the history, myths and folklore of the place. He is very rooted and invested in his community and deeply concerned about ethical business practices. I Highly recommend the place.

The service can be a bit quicker. Tea can be improved.

The property was clean and well managed. The staff member was friendly and helpful. Taxis are available at any time to go anywhere in the city. The food was food. The garden is amazing. It is not easy to find such a nice place in the city. Highly recommended. PS: I also recommend that you take a walk to Ete Coffee - they have awesome cheese cakes and freshly roasted and brewed coffee.

We spent two nights here and every thing was to the perfection. The location was close to my destination and some centre of the town. I loved the food, unique taste. I am going to miss it. As for the room it’s spacious, clean and would definitely recommend this homestay to everyone. Outstanding customer service, very kind and approachable team. And most important of all is Madam Mercy. She is attentive, very humble, easily approachable and really committed towards her work.

Staff were lovely and the place was very clean and quiet. Thomas and Mercy were great caretakers. The cooked breakfast was delicious and filling.

The bed was quite uncomfortable and needs upgrading. The location is a bit far out of town. It's a bit pricey for what you get.

Everything was up to the mark. Clean and well equipped rooms. Beautiful house with beautiful frontyard. View of the hills. Breakfast and meal options provided. Friendly hosts and courteous staff. No commotion of vehicles or noise. Best if you have your own vehicle.

Excellent location having a panoramic view of Kohima. Viewing the Sunrise was joyful. Staff were very polite and prompt Food was delicious, most of the vegetables are home grown and organic. The owners are excellent they took good care of us.. Recommend to stay here. Clean and hygienic.

It was my first ever trip To Nagaland, I landed up straight at Akim homestay from Dimapur airport. On my first day I could not meet any of the hosts so I felt a bit anxious because I wanted some information to travel further. I just thought I will wait for the next day and see how it works out. Next morning I met Chris and that was the beginning of my wonderful trip to Nagaland. The Homestay is a very beautiful building, done up very tastefully and spotlessly clean. The owners are so pleasant, always willing to help, answer any queries and they have a very personal and caring approach when interacting with their guests. I saw one of the most beautiful sunrise from the front yard of the cottage. Although the homestay is a bit far from the town but this was not a problem at all, the hosts went out of their way to arrange for transport, and yes, the quiet and beautiful sitting area in front, made up for being a bit far from all the hustle and bustle. The food was fresh and delicious. I had a wonderful stay here and it was a pleasure meeting the family and I would definitely choose to stay at Akim homestay on my next trip to Nagaland.

Lovely large room. Quiet location. A good distance from center but we love to walk.

Might have been language barrier but felt more like an aloof hotel than what I expect from a homestay.
