When I travel, I don't like to stay at franchise places so we gave this place a go. We loved it. The atrium was beautiful. Breakfast was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. The beds and pillows were perfect. I think I had the best sleep of my life

We originally had a room on the 1st floor and the AC wouldn't come on. They offered us a second room but it smelled musty. They then upgraded us to the suite which was perfect. SO I am saying what I didn't like - was that some of the rooms smelled musty. That is the only thing I can find about this hotel I didn't like.

Wonderfully big, clean room with a very comfortable bed. Walk in tub. Nice big shower. Great. Dinner was great. Tammy, our server was exceptional. I asked about the history of the place and she explained. Helped us with dinner selections. Maybe the best bed pudding I’ve ever had and that’s saying a lot. Staff was limited but very helpful.

No elevator. Hard for my husband to get up the stairs. I suggest handles by the toilet, also. No amenities in the shower and no place to put my soap and shampoo. Breakfast was ok, not fabulous.

I love the vibe and style. The staff were very helpful and kind. We ate at the tavern 1301 located inside the hotel and it was one of the best meals of our trip. The beds were comfortable, the room itself was spacious, the showers were super nice, the breakfast was one of the better ones and the ac/heater works great. Overall one of our best stays.

The actual toilet and shower is super small. While I enjoyed the heat lamp immensely I wish there was on in the sink area. Those floors stay cold

The breakfast was the best "free" meal I've eaten. The sausage links were huge and wonderfully spicy. Biscuits and gravy were good, especially the gravy. They had a home made apple-berry cobbler that was delicious as well. The scrambled eggs were the usual not-so-good kind. Had dinner at the restaurant that was good and a reasonably priced. The room was quite clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly, helpful, and polite.

I honestly was worried about my stay. I stayed at this place several years back before before the Hotel switched owners and my previous stay was awful.. I was reluctant to give the Hotel a try but I did and I want to say I made an excellent decision. The room I stayed in was extremely clean. My room did not smell like old cigarette smoke residue that was my main concern. This place is Smoke free. The breakfast was good.

The swimming pool was closed for repairs.

Room was updated and very clean. Bathroom light was not working, but was fixed promptly when staff was notified. An amazingly quiet hotel which I appreciated very much. No noise coming in from adjacent rooms.

Breakfast was not good at all. Very disappointing. The breakfast sausage was like dried out cardboard, the biscuits were dry and hard, the gravy for biscuits had the look and consistency of drywall paste, and the coffee tasted terrible. Overall, it was disgusting, actually. The cook came out while I was there and looked things over but did nothing. The guy looked like he had just climbed out of bed. Not sure how clean it all was. The hotel really needs to work on the breakfast offering.

The breakfast was excellent with several home made items obviously made by an on site chef. The main restaurant was closed during our visit. The young woman at the front desk was exceptionaly helpful and welcoming.

A little older facility. The room was clean but some of the other areas less. Might need an elevator. Seemed understaffed. Probably a little expensive compared to nearby newer hotels. Might want to play up history more.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were really clean and comfortable. I definitely would stay there again.

I didn't like that the pool wasn't available. That was a bummer. And the app said checkout was at 2 but it was at 12. That was the main reason why I wanted to stay because of the later check out time.

We loved that the restaurant was attached to the hotel, with easy access to the more intimate bar setting or the larger, airy dining area. The absolute best part, though, was the young man who checked us in. Bryson was charming, informative, and incredibly helpful. He truly set the tone for our entire stay.

All was great.

Thomas was very personable, he showed us where to park and where our room was instead of just telling us Breakfast was provided, which was a surprise, since the website said it wasn't. Good atmosphere, and interesting decor inside of building
