The room was a surprise! We stopped in the parking lot and looked at the dated, tired exterior and especially the SAge Sign. We debated about even going into the room, thinking this was a disaster waiting to happen. But we took the key and found a completely remodeled, modern room with excellent furnishings and bath towels, etc.. NOW we strongly recommend the Sage Motel. Two suggestions: get real two ply toilet paper and boldly announce the remodeled interior with an upgraded sign.

Noted above: the toilet paper was so thin we used 5x as much as normal. The initial impression does not represent the real value of the remodeled interior. Be bold, announce how great it is inside.

Love how the rooms have been updated with laminate wood floors. We stayed here many years ago before remodeling and it was like a brand new motel. The shower was roomy and lots of hot water. The mini fridge and coffee station were both great. Location is fantastic, just a short walk to either the hot springs or downtown.

Parking lot is small, so if you have a large vehicle, you will need to park on side street. Not an issue for us, but others might have an issue.

On our way to Saratoga, Wyoming, we ran into a family emergency. A member of our family was diagnosed with a very serious illness as a result of a very long trip to the ER. Even though the Sage has posted that they have a no refund policy, I called them to explain our extenuating circumstances, and that my husband and I had to stay in Rock Springs to support his mom, they were super kind about it and canceled my reservation.

Very pleasantly surprised by how clean and updated the rooms were. My wife was nervous when we pulled in but was all smiles once we entered the room and saw how nice everything was. I stayed at this hotel many years ago and it was awful. The listing indicated that many of the rooms had been updated. The new owners have done an absolutely amazing job with these rooms. Contemporary, clean, well-appointed, comfortable beds (we stayed in their larger rooms with 3 full beds), a beautiful bathroom, and a great location (within walking distance to natural hot springs) to boot. Also, very convenient gas station/convenience store across the street to grab snacks, breakfast items, drinks, etc. Absolutely loved the streamlined contactless process of checking in and out via keypad code!

The parking was very tight, but it was the 4th of July weekend, so all rooms were probably being used. Very hard to find anything else that was less than ideal.

Newly renovated, very clean, spacious rooms (we had 2 bedrooms) & bathroom, well equipped (comfortable beds, a TV in both bedrooms, fridge, coffee maker & huge selection of coffees), great location in the middle of the town, ample parking, friendly staff, absolutely great value for your money.

Everything was tip top.

I would have liked a door or curtain between the 2 bedrooms. Also, you could see into the bathroom from the side when the door was closed, so a different door for that room would have been better.

It was sparkling clean and set up well. We could have used a bigger bed, but the bed was comfortable. Did I mention how clean it was?? We would stay here again.

Bed was a double, and bigger would be more comfortable for us.

The Sage Motel is located in downtown Saratoga. The exterior is rustic and the rooms are currently undergoing renovations. That being said, my room was large, clean, and newly updated. The coffee was incredible. The service was friendly, knowledgeable, and timely. I will return.

They are already working on updating the rooms. Keep up the good work.

The room was very comfortable, quiet and clean! The shower was nice. The lady managing the property was lovely. Check in/check out was easy !

Parking situation was a little confusing, but nobody seem to care and it was manageable.

Really pleasant and easy. An older, Route 66 style facility. But for what it is, and for being an older, classic facility, it’s great. I love the gas station next door had self-serve ice cream.

Some of the fixtures are old. But it was clean.
