During our recent family trip to Bandung, we stayed at the Gaia Hotel, located in the picturesque northern part of the city. Its proximity to popular attractions like Farmhouse Susu Lembang and Lapinea Café & Resto made it an excellent base for exploring the area. The hotel is a haven for families, especially with its children-friendly amenities. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the shallow pool, and the highlight for them was feeding the big, colourful koi in the hotel's pond – a delightful activity with complimentary fish food provided. Though we didn’t have time to explore the gym or the small bouldering wall, these added touches are great for those seeking a bit of activity. The property also features an amphitheatre and three greenhouses, which offer a unique and relaxing experience. The staff were consistently friendly and accommodating, ensuring a pleasant stay. Breakfast at the Semeja restaurant was a highlight, offering a wide variety of options that were both delicious and filling. Overall, Gaia Hotel is a fantastic choice for families looking for a relaxing and well-located retreat in Bandung, with room for improvement in its dining options.

However, their à la carte offerings for lunch and dinner were disappointing, lacking flavour and variety.

Unique design of wood integrated with natural surroundings, makes it outstandingly exquisite. Keeping the nature i.e. perching over a valley below and forest at the front. Every corner is well designed, the design of the chapel, every cafe and restaurant and bedrooms. The food at Semeja is superb, fresh, delicious, keeping traditional taste. It is a family friendly hotel with many activities for kids and accommodates wheelchaired guests. The breakfast buffet is generous, with multiple options from traditional Indonesian, Chinese, Japanese and European cuisine served. They are all fresh and delicious! I love that they served local jamu and ketan bakar.

Although split into multiple regions to manage traffic, there are only 4 lifts per region, it can be very slow at times. The air freshener at the lobby alley towards the lift - is too strong. The fact that it's open and fresh air, why not lower it down. It caused discomfort to a sensitive nose. For the size of the hotel, served by only 4 c/in desks caused unnecessarily long waiting time. Consider adding a few more along the alley lobby, rather than just keeping them as waiting areas.

Exceptional staff. For every touch point of the hotel, the staff were constantly greeting guests with a smile & serving them to the best of their ability. Overall, it was a very hospitable hotel due to the staff.

Nothing to dislike really. Personally we thought the infrastructure of the hotel was a bit strange but it's not something that can't be helped anyway.

I had an amazing experience at The Gaia Hotel Bandung. The hotel is spacious, with a welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The staff were friendly and attentive, always going the extra mile. The facilities are top-notch, with everything from great breakfast to infinity pool making it perfect for both relaxation and activities. Highly recommend and will definitely return!

The stay is perfect, view is beautiful, breakfast is delicious, swimming pool and fitness center is a winner, room is comfortable and quiet… almost perfect 😍

Received 2-3 messages via message system on booking.com platform with link impersonating booking.com and ask for our card, a true phishing. The hotel seems taking it for granted as they said it a glitch yet i got another one. Be aware even message from this platform can be a phishing.

The view is very wonderful and the place is charming, beautifully designed, elegant and luxurious. There is a variety of coffee types in the bar, and this is wonderful. I asked them to serve breakfast in the room and they agreed to this, not every hotel accepts this and this is great of them You can relax in the hotel and not leave it. The swimming areas and activities are varied and wonderful.

There were many amenities, facilities and programs.rooms were clean too..The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful especially Hanny and Dion who went out of the way to help us.

The room was not really sound proof, could hear the traffic on the road and sounds from other rooms.

A lot of activities to do, the spa was nice and the pool. Breakfast was good but wished to have more coffee options. Location was amazing and the rooms were amazing.

The rooms were a bit thin at times and the morning, we heard chattering from the next door and their television but wasn't much or a problem.

On breakfast : Ketan with sambel oncom is something different - you must try one, maybe they can serve other variety of local food such as surabi oncom, surabi kinca, etc... than lower quality asians food (sushi and dinsum). Swimming pool is great even it was not warm water (no issue from me), but need to build second pool somewhere as some guest will need ample time than only one hour lazy-ing at pool side (considering the hotel is a leisure hotel not business hotel and the price we pay). Room is OK considering cleanliness; even compared with other 5* hotels in Bandung GAIA is smaller. Noise outside room is not fully soundproof.

Need further improvement of the taste and quality for sushi (not fresh) and dinsum (if you cant make a good dinsum - better to delete this in the menu). I am not sure if I miss reading the info or not written by Booking.com that the gym is not ready yet.

The views from my room facing mountains Iove it very much,and the king size bed very comfortable and the bathroom and the setting very good .

The way to go to the Gaia hotel is not very good,very sharp to turn in to the hotel.
