We really enjoyed our stay at Les Olivades. The staff were very friendly, the swimming pool perfect for our kids and the room was a great size for a family of 4 people. We visited the beautiful lake and enjoyed the surrounding mountains. We would definitely return. A great hotel.

The only small thing is the lack of a cheaper bar menu that might have some kids options like pasta or omelette or chicken nuggets. The restaurant was delicious but not cheap and didn't cater to picky kids. But Gap is only down the road and has plenty of restaurants.

We booked a larger room which had a generous terrace with outdoor furniture. The room was a good size, well appointed and had a good bathroom. Lovely view through an ivy surrounded window. The restaurant was serving inside and was excellent.

We arrived deliberately early to enjoy a relaxing afternoon sunbathing and using the pool. What we hadn’t been told on booking - and this would have been easy to do - was that there was an exceptionally loud (boom boom music) birthday party at the pool. There was nowhere to go except sit inside our room to avoid it. In 28 degrees. Had we been told in advance, we could have delayed our arrival by visiting somewhere first or even cancelled and booked another hotel. It ruined our afternoon - but it could have been avoided with advance notice.

Our bedroom was a good size, well appointed with good facilities like a kettle and fridge. Lovely big walk in shower. But the patio area outside our room (belonging to our room) was huge - with table, easy chairs, table and dining chairs and sunbeds! The restaurant is great (we were here earlier in the year and ate inside which is a gorgeous, bespoke room) and we ate outside this time. Food is good. The reception team are really helpful.

The service in the restaurant was pretty appalling. We waited nearly an hour for a menu and had to ask twice for one then! A wine list does exist, not just the very expensive, limited selection which is on the table, so do ask for it - then you have a much better selection with some more sensible prices. Take your own tea bags and milk for the room unless you’re happy with fruit flavoured ones.

Large room with very good amenities, with a hot drinks station and fridge. Excellent walk-in shower - very powerful. The restaurant is a jewel. Fabulous, cave-style room with stylish decor. Food was excellent and staff most friendly and helpful. Lovely location, although was a little tricky to find initially.

Coffee is catered for in the room but if you are ‘typically English’ and prefer tea, take your own Breakfast tea bags and milk! Not a big deal for lots of people, but thought this might be helpful to know if you’re like us

The hotel is off the main road however the views are incredible with surrounding mountains and hills in the distance which can be seen from your room. It’s a warm and welcoming hotel which has lovely rooms, a good pool area and an awesome restaurant.

There’s no specific bar area if you just want a casual drink. We have stayed before which was superb but on this occasion the drain was slightly blocked in the shower. This was told to staff and straight away they sorted the issue.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room we had been assigned initially was not suitable for us, far too noisy due to the chimney flue for the heating/air conditioning running up the outside wall. We were assigned another room very quickly which had the facilities we needed and which was quiet. Breakfast was very good but dinner was the stand-out; absolutely superb food in a lovely setting served by friendly and efficient staff.

Large room and ensuite with walk in shower. Clean and well appointed. Plenty of car parking. Lift to all floors. Out of town . Food in restaurant was excellent.

Waited one and a half hours for our main course in the restaurant. Even getting a menu took 20 minutes. A French couple near us finished 3 courses while we waited for our second despite arriving 30 minutes after us! Poorly organised. Spoiled what was otherwise a good meal.

Very comfortable bed with a choice of pillows. Air conditioned. Very quiet room. We heard no noise from inside or outside the room. Nice to be able to have a swim in the pool after a day's travelling. Freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast was a nice touch.

Nothing really. Being picky the breakfast choice was a little bit limited but the quality was very good.

Beautiful swimming pool with views of the mountains. The bedroom had good air conditioning on a very hot night. The restaurant on the terrace was lovely and the quality of the menu was superb. It was quiet and peaceful. We extended our check out time by a couple of hours without extra charge.

The window in our bedroom did not open and the electric blinds were broken. Although the quality of the evening meal was excellent, the restaurant was very busy and the waiter service was extremely slow. We waited 15 minutes before any attention was given to us and another 20 mins before our order was taken. Our main course was served approximately an hour and a half after we sat down.

We loved this place! Our room was comfortable, spacious and stylish, with a small terrace outside (we booked a superior double). The bed was large and comfortable, and the bathroom was very clean and a good size. The hotel has a lovely pool, with a delightful outside bar just next to it. The restaurant really makes this place special: we had an excellent dinner, and the menu was moderately priced, given the quality (although the wine list felt a bit pricey). In fact we enjoyed our one night here so much we abandoned our plans to stay elsewhere on our return journey and booked in for two more nights at Les Olivades instead!

I can't think of any criticism.
