Absolutely stunning castle and grounds. Even though the weather was poor, we had a fantastic time exploring the castle and the beautiful decor, architecture, and history. We had a lovely dinner in the front yard overlooking the town of Bolzano. We met some other guests who had said they’ve been coming for years. Would absolutely come here again!!

The most amazing place I have ever stayed at. I am so glad we found this hotel. We considered staying in the center of Bolzano to be close to all the shops and restaurants, but were very glad we ended up here. If you have ever wondered how it would be to stay in a medival castle, then you've come to the right place. A perfect experience from the moment we arrived. They upgraded us to a huge suite without us requesting it, which was absolutely stunning. The castle itself sits on top of a hill with beautiful views all over the valley down to Bolzano. Bolzano is just a 15 minute drive from the castle, but I recommend visiting the local town as well as this was far more cozy and no tourists. The breakfast buffet is all you can ask for. I spend over 100 nights a year in a hotel, and this is by far one of the best I´ve ever had. The infinity pool is stunning and the views from the pool deck is out of this world. Take time and enjoy and aperitif at the bistro & bar in the backyard and make sure to try their on site restaurant. When you are seated at the breakfast or dinner table, you will feel like a king or queen in the midst of a beautifully decorated medieval village. I do hope I can come back to this lovely place sometime in the future.

Everything was 100% perfect.

Every single thing about this hotel is outstanding. The sense of arrival is magnificent, jaw dropping, the hotel is beautiful, the history, the design, the very clever conversion to a hotel, the service was just perfect. We were staying over as part of a long journey, but really didn't want to leave. This is a hotel we would love to revisit, to bring some books, stay a few days, enjoy the tranquility, take a seat in one of the many nooks and crannies perfectly set up for chilling out. I can't think of a better place to rest and relax at. We enjoyed every single minute, but the moment that really stood out was breakfast in the cloister on a lovely sunny morning with the sunlight streaming throught the vines, a superb breakfast, truly taken at leisure. We could have stayed in that moment for hours.

We booked only a few hours before arriving and the room was just a little bit small. However, we slept perfectly. I have no complaints at all, but will book in advance next time!

History, location and and an amazing library. Good breakfast. An interesting sound system. A very good dinner in the restaurant. Recommended. Great infinity pool.

Design to be improved: our room was on the top floor and I kept hitting my head on the angled ceiling. Lights need dimmers. Room service delivery was quoted to 30 E. Not reasonable.

Absolutely beautiful! The antiques and history of the place was amazing. Breakfast was great! Lovely grounds also.

The food in the restaurant was great, good quality gourmet dishes nothing wrong with the service either. The kitchen was really slow, unacceptably slow. We would likely have eaten there more than once but two hours for dinner is just too long.

The view of the bedroom was not great Some pbs with the TV (but we must agree that we don’t come to such a place to watch TV).

This is a beautifully renovated Schloss. I would love to come back again. Beds very comfortable. Views from one of the front suites is spectacular. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It is very interesting inside the castle with stars and halls in all directions. A layout map would be good. We are so pleased we found this experience.

It's confusing when you first get there as to where to go. You need to call the reception so they will lower the bollard for entry. Food was very good, both breakfast and dinner. The wait was too long, particularly breakfast. This is only a small thing.

The location was absolutely beautiful & the property had its own historic charm. Amazingly fascinating interiors! Literally felt like staying in a castle. The staff was extremely helpful & upgraded us to a suite! Also gifted us their homemade honey

The room was very warm as it was above the services. Portable air-con was a bit naff and noisy. Not what you’d expect in a 5* hotel.

The castle grounds and facility were beautiful, as was the view. The rooms were huge and castle decor incorporated original antiques which added to the authenticity of the castle experience. The staff were genuinely friendly as well as incredibly helpful and attentive. The restaurant was excellent. All in all a wonderful experience and I will definitely go back for subsequent visits.
