Very unique and beautiful historic property! I love the special touches in the room like robes, extra towels, plenty of pillows, and the beds were comfortable. The text reminder with code for door was great, and nice and friendly welcome. Thank you for the explanation of juice, milk, coffee, snacks, cereal, etc. The small kitchen area was set up nicely, and convenient. The AC units worked really well as I was a bit worried about it being an older hotel and upstairs. It was in the 90s and very hot outside but nice and cool in the rooms. We stayed in the family suite. The bathroom was huge, too! I enjoyed the decor and nice, high ceilings - really impressive!

We did not have a problem but I didn't realize there were a lot of stairs and no elevator. It was probably in the property description but I didn't see that. It was okay and I should have researched it a bit more. I will say that it was fine since we only stayed one night and light on luggage. It would have been a chore to lug a heavy suitcase up stairs though.

This hotel far exceeded our expectations. The rooms were unique and cozy. The kitchen was a nice bonus, with water, coffee, and snacks. The King size bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on - I never wanted to leave. If you are in Magnolia, I highly recommend staying at The Loft on the Square. A great breakfast place down the block has amazing biscuits and there are a few restaurants in the square. I peeked into a few of the other rooms, and each had something special.

The only complaint I have is the air conditioner placement in King Room #2. It was right above the bed and very noisy. I would suggest placing it higher in the window since there is enough space. This wouldn't bother anyone if it hadn't been one of the hottest weekends in September! :)

Location was perfect. It was very quiet. There are five rooms but we were the only ones there.

The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers didn’t work because they were empty. The coffee bar didn’t have enough creamer. The ice maker was broken and filled with water. The ice holder in the freezer was a block of ice. The plastic ice tray did have ice. The rug at the foot of the bed was a tripping hazard. We have stayed here 7 years ago. The breakfast bar had better choices then. Everything was packaged. I think I remember a few fresh choices years ago like muffins.

The location was very convenient for walking around The Square to shop. The family room we had was spacious and very comfortable. The beds were great! Very roomy bathroom as well. I loved the varieties of snacks and coffee extras! Communication with the owner was easy and prompt as well.

It was cool weather so the two window units were fine. I wonder how that would’ve been in the summer months. Otherwise, no complaints!

Parking right in front of door. Host so easy to work with. Price comparable to hotels in town. Very historic. Bed was very comfortable! Was quiet at night, no disturbances.

There is a flight of stairs to be aware of if you have physical limitations. Just had to take it slow!

Better then a regular hotel, good cold AC window units keep both room nice and cold. Beds and pillows comfortable. Snack area good drinks and kitchen amenities a great touch.

Water pressure low in shower, not much seating area, and small tv.

Right on the town square across from Columbia County courthouse. Beautiful , enormous and vey old magnolia trees in courthouse square. Comfortable and lovely accommodations. Snacks, continental breakfast items, good coffee. Several nice restaurants close by.

Climbing stairs with baggage is challenging.

Clean, good bed, and simple to get in and out at a great location… what’s there NOT to like about The Loft.

I have nothing bad to say. Even though the shower gel and shampoo contraption wasn’t working, you still had a backup for it.

This is a special and historical property. Be prepared to climb stairs and shower in a tiny space. It’s got character and high ceilings and snacks and coffee. Real dishes and glasses. No plastic.

Tiny shower and small bathroom. Lost access code and lost room keys which were totally not the fault of hosts.!!

Greatly appreciated the snacks and juice especially since we were traveling with a little one. The interior design was warm and welcoming. Well done. Also a special thanks to the staff for getting back with us quickly after we discovered an item was left in the room. We were able to recover it.

The room with the king bed did not cool down until the a.m. hours. And we had to leave the door to that room open for air flow. I suggest adding a window unit to that room as well. Also, a set of softer pillows for sleeping with is needed! The pillows on the bed were extremely firm.
