Everything was great! Our room wasn't re-stocked during our three-night stay but it was no issue for me to just walk down to the front desk to ask for some coffee/cups. The staff are all friendly and the continental breakfast was in a room that has no business looking so good for how it's being used (seriously, a beautiful place to enjoy breakfast). A good property all around that I would definitely stay at again if I was back in the area.

Construction on the adjacent property started pretty early (7am); not an issue for my partner and I as we get up early anyway but it could be an issue for those who are on a different sleep schedule.

Great renovation of the old hotel makes this a very nice place to stay in Gold River. The continental breakfast was very good and convenient. Lots of of well lit parking and it seemed very safe. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

The renovation is still in progress so some things remained unfinished. The on site restaurant is not open yet - so had to find food in other places in town. The building that will house the workers and the visitor center is still under construction next door so some construction still in progress nearby. Not an issue for your visit but to be aware of when booking into the motel.

The new, Wyndham Gold River is a vast improvement over the previous establishment which was tired & in desperate need of renovation. With new ownership, the completely refurbished establishment is fresh, well designed, immaculately clean & has convenient amenities in the room like a mini fridge, microwave, coffee machine & electric kettle. The room was comfortable, as was the bed. The public areas are welcoming & the breakfast room is beautiful, with lots of windows looking out onto a scene of trees. The breakfast was good & the space was kept tidy by an attentive employee (thank you). I would like to recognize Gracie at the front desk. She was warm, welcoming & courteous. Her shift ended late one evening, but she was at the desk early the next morning, cheerful, professional & ready to help. She was delightful. I very much appreciated seeing Indigenous art & culture celebrated in the space & was also happy to see the use of the Nuu-chah-nulth language throughout the property, highlighting of the Mowachaht / Muchalaht First Nation culture, heritage & continued presence. The pole in front of the hotel, created by master carver Sanford Williams, is a beautiful way to welcome visitors to a wonderful place. I look forward to staying again & I can highly recommend the hotel to others.

We had a fantastic stay at the Baymont in Gold River! The hotel is newly renovated, clean, and super comfortable, but the real highlight was how welcoming they were to our dogs. Big grassy areas nearby made for easy walks, and the front desk even had treats ready! The room was quiet, cool (thank you A/C!), and had everything we needed. It’s the perfect base for exploring the area’s trails and scenery. Can’t recommend it enough if you’re traveling with pets. We’ll definitely be back!

The building is very new so everything is bright and clean and works well. Breakfast being included is a great perk. The best part is being completely dog friendly, even a big dog like ours. Plenty of parking, central location - not hard to achieve in a small town but still nice!

There's a bit of noise from the hallway but that's pretty standard at a hotel.

We’ll run with very professional staff. Still a bit of work in progress to finish up but comfortable beds, food options are close by and their long term goal is to have a full restaurant soon.

The dining area was a bit cool temperature and they wouldn’t start the fireplace apparently due to smoke issues. Otherwise I really enjoyed my stay.

Being a new building the room was very quiet and felt clean. Staff were so helpful and nice.

Breakfast was a little lacking. Preshelled boiled eggs and soy milk were bad. Ate a waffle with frozen fruit each morning which was good but would have been nice to have some protein

Others should be aware that until the kitchen is completed there are limited options for eating in Gold River in the evening. Not the fault of the hotel, but useful for other travellers to know.

The check in/ check out was very easy. The room was clean and ready when we arrived. They sent a link to add information for faster check in the day prior to our arrival.

The breakfast was okay. Limited hot food options. The shower head was a little low for our family members who are over 6 feet tall.

New hotel good decor. Very lovely room very clean.

Breakfast is very basic coffee not great choice of cereals bad and bread quite dry. Only continental breakfast on offer.
