This beautiful AirBnB is a cut above! The room was quiet, comfortable & very spacious but the adjoining entertainment deck was where this place really stood out. Every possible convenience was supplied including the beautiful heated Jacuzzi where we wound down after busy days exploring this stunning region, watching the sunset over Shark Bay with a G&T in hand. The extensive outdoor kitchen with huge gas burning BBQ, seperate plate burner, dishwasher, fridge, microwave & ice maker & a huge 10 seat dining table! Kerrie the host is relaxed & knowledgeable about the attractions of the area & supplies everything you want from an extensive breakfast menu you prepare yourself. The visiting kangaroos & emus were the icing in the cake.

100% recommend this place for a beautiful spacious experience of the Shark Bay Area! The House is on a corner right on the edge of Denham overlooking the national park and towards the ocean. They're renting out three spaces, of which I stayed in the yellow room on the top floor. It had everything you could possibly need for a few day's stay (I'd have gladly stayed longer!) and then some. The room itself is comfortable, spacious and clean and was very quiet after sunset. There are a fridge, kettle and toaster in the room as well as the kitchen cutlery etc, and then I shared an outside kitchen (VERY complete incl. dishwasher, microwave and bbq!) with the other room on the top floor. The breakfast was great, with a daily choice of many different things that could be part of a breakfast. What really makes this stay extra special were the sunsets! The house has a spectacular view, and the owners, Kerrie and Phil, have maximized the lay-out for you to experience that as much as possible with a comfy couch, a well placed jacuzzi and a large dining table. Around dusk the local wildlife comes by and you'll get to know a few of the regular characters during your stay :). I had a wonderful stay and will remember this special place for a long time. We loved everything about On the Deck! The room was clean, spacious and had everything we could need for a comfortable stay. Added bonus was access to a full outdoor kitchen had we felt the need to cook! The view from the deck was wonderful and even though we had a bit of rain during our stay, the undercover hot tub was just the place to take it all in. Our hosts were really knowledgeable about the area and very generous with their time. We only stayed for a couple of nights, but I wish it had been a week!

The quiet views of the desert, complete with nightly visits of kangaroos and emus, were the perfect way to wake up in the morning or relax after a day of activity. Our hosts provided us with a great breakfast for us to prepare at the very useful kitchen on the deck outside our room. We also were able to make good use of the barbeque facilities for evening meals. My wife and I spent 5 nights here and could not have asked for a better place to enjoy Denham and Frances Peron National Park.

Gorgeous property with first class hosts. Location was perfect with views across the national park and away from any noise or disturbance. Rooms were clean, well furnished, spacious and extremely comfortable. Unique concept where your high quality breakfast is delivered each day and you cook at your leisure on the BBQ outside the room. Phil and Kerrie are wonderful hosts, there if you need them, and discreet if you don’t. The evening encounter with the kangaroos is just magical. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Leaving

The location was great, just outside of the township of Denham but with a glorious view of sunset across the nearby beach. Just 20 minutes from Monkey Mia and quick access to local attractions. The yellow room on the first floor had a spa right outside the door, outdoor kitchen, balcony and table and chairs. The cook your own breakfast is a great idea as you can prepare food, including lunch and dinner at your leisure when required. The food provided was excellent and there were many choices. Kerry and Phil are wonderful hosts and very helpful and friendly. This is a great place to stay. We should have stayed a bit longer. Definitely a highlight of our WA tour.

The hosts, Kerri and Phil, are wonderful and helpful people who have an interesting array of visiting animals - who kept us entertained. The facilities are outstanding and well considered. On the deck is situated on the edge of town and has amazing views of the bush. The breakfast menu is extensive. Denham is a beautiful place to stay and enjoy a relaxed pace of life. Thoroughly recommend this as a place to stay and visit.

We loved staying at On the Deck@Shark Bay. Phil and Kerrie are amazing hosts - they were so welcoming and did everything they could to make our stay so perfect! The accommodation has a great location - so lovely to see the roos every day coming for their evening snacks. It was so easy to walk into town which we really loved as we enjoy a bit of exercise every day. We loved the idea of ordering breakfast provisions the day before and having the flexibility to prepare them whenever we wanted - the options on offer were extremely extensive and generous. Phil went out of his way to help us plan our excursions and offer advice about local restaurants - nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed. Phil and Kerrie are such lovely genuine people - thank you so much for making our trip to Shark Bay so wonderful. We highly recommend On the Deck@Shark Bay.

Nothing - it was great in every way!

This is an exceptional B&B and is result of the design, layout and facilities in the place but mostly down to Phil and Kerrie the hosts. We stayed here in 2019 and had such a great time that we said if we're ever back in WA we must stay at Phil and Kerrie's place - we had to wait four years... What makes an exceptional B&B experience is usually down to the hosts, and this place is top notch... Phil was a mine of information on the wildlife, things to do around Shark Bay and beyond. I would absolutely recommend this place and Denham is a much better place to stay rather than Monkey Mia resort (25 mins away) as there are more eating, sightseeing and places to go... the Visitor Centre museum with 3D film on the sinking of the HMAS Sydney is well worth a visit. We stayed 3 nights.... just wish it was longer.

This was a great place for a 3 day stay on our road trip. A beautiful clean venue with wonderful views of the surrounds. Had privacy and also easy access to the owners Phil and Kerry who provided much advice including confirmation of some trip bookings and where to go to eat. Supplies provided for breakfast which made the start of the day easy. Lovely location to Denham.
