It was roomy and comfortable even though it was a converted back shed

The bathroom was small with very poor drainage. Could only have the shower pressure on a dribble to avoid the water flowing out into the kitchen. The toilet was suitable for a 5 year old. Very low. Not suitable for tall or older people. Did not see our host during our 2 day stay. Didn’t appreciate the Chubb person coming in and doing checks and service during our stay without any correspondence from the host. He was in our unit while we were out 😞

We stayed in the sunset suite - at the back of the property. Extremely roomy, clean and honestly the best accommodation on our entire journey. Even felt super private for a b&b. Went from Brisbane to Perth and back again, and this place was the best we stayed at, beating all the "resorts". Felt like home! Shaun was super lovely, texting me prior to getting there with info and being available for any questions for a seamless stay. Free wifi, tv with YouTube, comfy bedding. Cold water in the fridge for us and the aircon worked amazingly.

Our "room" was a large suite with a full kitchen, although we utilised the BBQ outside (covered) and the table and chairs for both dinner and breakfast. We had not taken up the "breakfast" option in booking, but made the decision to get our cooked breakfast supplies ourselves from the local IGA when gathering dinner. Comfortable room, very quiet, at the rear of the house. Nice to meet and chat with fellow guests in evening, and then at breakfast.. Walk to the shops no more than 15 minutes , and we thought it better to be away from the traffic of the town anyway.

Our expectations were met.

The shower was hard to regulate. Wasted a lot of water going from hot, cold, hot, cold trying to find a medium This was rm 5 so unsure how other rooms are. The TV was not available so could not relax with a movie after dinner A little bit far from everything if you prefer to walk

Beautifully appointed and very comfortable Garden Suite room. Shawn very kindly upgraded us from the Deluxe Queen room when we arrived. Shawn was super friendly and went out of his way to ensure our stay was comfortable answering all the questions we had about Lightning Ridge area. Definitely a place I would recommend to any traveler passing through.

Breakfast was a little sparse. Was supposed to be continental so would have liked a little fruit and yoghurt added to the breakfast items. But that hardly spoilt our time there. So didn’t really matter all that much.

Attention to detail in decoration. Eg mirrored hearts above doorways, mirrors etc. Separate kitchenette with table and chairs. Parking on site. Helpful staff. Just "very comfortable". Best bed we have ever slept in! Great storage, plenty of pillows, extra blankets.

Noisy AC. Also need a bench for sitting on if over 80s are required to remove shoes before entering. And a proper handrail on back stairs would have been good too.

When we arrived it was HOT. The A/C unit was sufficient to quickly cool the room. It was quiet and pleasant. Close enough to town as we had our own cars. I thought I left something behind, so made a phone call. The person went out of their way to look for me, We later found it. Thank you for looking.

I was disappointed the TV didn't work. I left a note and was pleased that I received a phone call to say that it was being mended right away. Its a pity the person before me didn't mention it wasn't working.

Nice shed area ... Lounge room, dining area kitchenette, bathroom and bedroom. The bed was very comfortable, no cooking appliances apart from a microwave, kettle and toaster but there was a camp kitchen.

The camp kitchen was extremely dirty and didn't end up cooking on any of the appliances the bbq was filth. Unfortunately the water pressure in the bathroom wasn't to good

The host Shaun and his wife were lovely, and Suey was absolutely wonderful!! We were made to feel very welcome at Sonja's Bed & Breakfast With this visit we did not opt in for the breakfast option, but I definitely will next time I visit Lightning Ridge Loved relaxing in the front garden on Sunday, and was sad to leave Monday morning.

There was nothing that I didn't like.

House is located in a quiet area with secure car parking The host was very friendly, and we had a good chat over provided breakfast The apartment was comfortable and big enough for a few nights The mini kitchen is nicely done, and the bbq area is also provided, but unfortunately, we didn't use it. Highly recommended 👌
