It was the short vacation trip to learn more about the history of this interesting town - Cottbus/Chociebuz. The localization of the hotel was great - next to the Old Town area. What was more important, we could park the car using the underground public garage leading directly to the hotel lobby. The breakfast service - fantastic, great selection of tasty breads, cheeses, cold cuts, and hot dishes. Room located at 9th floor allow to have a good perspective for the town.

The hotel possesses 4 stars and the quality of the hotel can be recognized by the way of problem solving - in our case there was the problem - the leak of water in bathroom from the ceiling, a failure that could not have been foreseen nor avoided. The problem was fixed immediately and the professionalism of the hotel staff was evident. We explained all the problems reaching a satisfactory compromise.

I had the room on the 11th floor, the view is great. The room and other areas are very clean. The provided toiletries are very good. The beds are comfy. The offered mini fridge in the room is great, you can have a cold drink after coming to the hotel from a hot day of work. The breakfast is amazing and the best. The location is close to the great city center.

The front desk German guy was not the nicest, answering any question with such an attitude that it is a sin to ask anything :) Waiting for the elevator sometimes was very long, and one time I had to wait about 6-7 minutes for the lift. The price is very expensive, like 50-60 Euro per night to hotels in other cities.

Staff and location was great. Would stay here again.

The room was very hot, the air conditioning did not cool it.

One, out of two, elevator was out of order which made the morning traffic, going to breakfast and back, a bit of a hell. The A/C is really noisy, I would say not compatible with a good night of sleep. Not much of an issue in Germany, but beware if you go there in a sunny time (the hotel is a modern all glass facade building) or during a heat wave.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The breakfast was impressive, offering a wide variety of delicious options to start the day. The room was well-equipped with all the essentials, including thoughtful touches like hair conditioner and body lotion. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and would highly recommend this hotel to others.

A clean, comfortable room with enough space, very quick WiFi that was very simple to get into and for business guests or concert visitors, there's no better location in town as you're smack next to the Stadthalle, and a steady 20-minute walk away from the train station straight up Bahnhofstrasse. The restaurant cooked a quite excellent Argentinean steak, the breakfast buffet was large, fresh, and tasty, the bed was comfortable, the room was warm, and by and large the nuts and bolts of the hotel were very much intact. The pictures are very fair representations of what you'll see at the hotel too. However, the staff - to a man and woman - truly set the hotel apart. I have travelled running in races across Europe, and this is a fairly typical 4* business hotel in a prime location, but the staff were clearly motivated to provide excellent service and indeed, on the one occasion where there was a slight lapse (I'd requested milk for a cup of tea and the waiter had temporarily forgotten, no worry, it happens on occasion), to own their mistakes when they arise. They were extremely service-focused and looked to enjoy their work, and it came through in their dealings with me. They were a real credit to the Lindner chain, and I hope they can keep such focus and standards up.

I did state as a positive that the pictures are very fair representations, and I think it's fair to say my room was comfortable, but probably will be due a refurb in the fairly near future as there were definite signs of ageing on the woodwork. A very minor weakness would be the lack of tea and coffee-making facilities in the room, but in the hotel's defence, a kettle was readily provided on request. If you're looking for real style in a hotel stay, this Lindner hotel probably is not it (and to be honest I think you'd struggle to find it in Cottbus, quite frankly). But they do most things very well indeed.

Lindner Congress Hotel Cottbus is straight at the heart of the city, next to the Spree Galerie shopping center where you can have all your daily needs. It is right next to the bus/tram stations where you can travel to any part of the city easily. It is just in the vicinity of the Alte Stadt, where you can have food and do some shopping.

We would like to see Linder offering an extended breakfast buffet with gluten-free, lactose-free, and vegetarian/vegan foods for the people that may or need to eat these type of foods.

It was a convenient location. Parking was a reasonable price. The room was clean and comfortable.

Strange red light bulb in the bathroom. Would have been better as a normal light bulb. Quite expensive for a small town. No safe.

Lindner Congress Hotel Cottbus is a great place to stay in Cottbus. All and every one of the staff is there to help you sincerely and, with a smiling face. The location of the hotel is the best it can be. Right in the center of the city, close to the Alte Markt and all new stores, restaurants and also to the BTU (if your family members are to attend there). Lindner Congress Hotel Cottbus is and will be our de facto choice whenever we will visit Cottbus.
