We stayed in the hotel and got a big room with a double bed and 2 stories bed. We could easily fit a baby crib in the room. The staff was welcoming and nice. For dinner we had traditional Norwegian food, comfort food that fit the weather. Good breakfast buffet in the morning. Outside there were a Trampoline, something to climb on and swings for kids. Outdoor swimming pool, unfortunately the weather was not ideal for us so we didn’t use it.

The bed was a bit too soft (but hotel beds usually are). It was a little dog running around. Probably a cute and nice dog, but a bit stressful for us who’s allergic and also with little kids who’s not quite used to/able to understand yet how to be around animals.

The room was quite large by European standards. We had a lovely view, along with a small deck, overlooking the river. The room also had a small refrigerator and a kettle. They had a token-operated washer and dryer. The beds were comfortable. We paid for dinner in their dining room and it was delicious and very reasonably priced (240 NOK). I had the meatballs and husband had the moose burger. Both came with baked potatoes, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, and brown gravy. They serve generous portions. It's only a 10-minute drive from Dombas.

We would've liked to have two pillows each. A minor thing. . . ;)

Spacious, comfortable and clean rooms (perfect for a family of four), quick and easy check-in, very pleasant location, easy parking, small refrigerator in room, very well-organised and well-run accommodation, decent breakfast, trampoline was a hit with the kids

We visited in July and the pool was very cold. We went about 30-60 minutes after the pool opened so maybe it takes longer than that to heat up. Narrow staircase up to the room was kind of a pain with luggage.

Stayed on our way home for Christmas, and the entire hotel was packed with Christmas decorations. It was snowing and the atmosphere was just amazing. There was only 2 guests in the entire hotel, so we felt like we got more of a VIP treatment as well. Food was really good too. Our car had snowed in during the night, but woke up to a tractor making the way for us, without us asking. Just a perfect stay. Can recommend!

I have stayed at many hotels and guesthouses in Norway, including the 5-star Continental Hotel in Oslo, but Toftemo Turiststasjon is my favourite! The kind, friendly owners and staff, the comfort and cleanliness of the whole place, the excellent breakfast and snacks - 10/10. We had originally booked a Family Room, as all other rooms were fully booked. But when we arrived, the kind owner offered us to save some money by going into an available Double Room (which was huge!); we saved ourselves around 1800 NOK because of her kindness and honesty. Wonderful people, wonderful place, in beautiful Dovre. Perfect for visits to Dovrefjell, Rondane and Jotunheimen!

The location is beautiful and very convenient for us who make this trip from Indre Østfold to Trøndelag every summer. A lovely spot to break up the long journey. The facilities are very good, clean bathrooms for campers, heated swimming pool and restaurant that serves very nice meals. We’ve stayed at Toftemo 4 times now and will definitely visit again.

The room is cleaner and more spacious than what I imagined. Breakfast is quite good. The hotel itself has quite a long history and there are quite a lot of elements showing its glorious days. The female staff I met, whom I guess is the hotel owner or one of them, was quite helpful ,though a little bit indifferent. But come on, it's Norway, maybe it is the standard nordic style... Polite but not too enthusiastic. Totally understand and still willing to put thumbs up.

Nice location, vintage and very clean areas, polite staff, great breakfast. The view of the river was amazing through the room windows.

The restaurant kitchen closes at 19.30 so if you arrive late, dinner might be a challenge

The horse stables are nicely converted. Very cosy and warm. Had a very comfortable sleep. Hats off to the host.

Had a good few black flys which I found annoying. Could do with a deep clean under surfaces, kitchen, beds etc.

Fabulous place to stay on our way north. Comfortable beds, nice and warm and great views. The camp kitchen had everything you needed to self cater. Breakfast was lovely and so were the staff. Had a lovely chat over coffee. Will definitely be back.
