My recent stay at Lo spedalicchio a beautiful castle-turned-hotel, was nothing short of magical. Susanne was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. From her genuine beautiful smile to her extensive knowledge of the hotel’s history, she made me feel like a treasured guest from the moment I arrived. The castle itself is a masterpiece, blending historic charm with modern comforts. The rooms are spacious and elegantly furnished, providing a peaceful retreat. The dining experience was also exceptional, with a menu that highlights the finest local ingredients.breakfast was excellent In summary, my stay at Lo spedalicchio was an unforgettable experience, made even more special by Susanne’s outstanding service. This was our second stay at this unique and spacious facility. The owner, Luca, was again very friendly and helpful – the restaurant manager was also very attentive and amiable. It is an imposing property and our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet included plenty of savoury and sweet offerings. Coffee was perfect. This was another very pleasant and satisfying experience for us.

Amazingly friendly and helpful for a family of weary travelers including two young children. Suzanne was so very helpful, booking us a fairly priced taxi from the airport when our plane arrived late at night and then driving me to the airport the next morning to collect our hire car. What amazing customer service - we were very grateful. Our room was traditional, with air conditioning, refrigerator and television - and the breakfast and coffee in the morning was great.

Close to perugia airport (2.3 miles) .taxi charged 20 euro!. Large traditional room with aircon in medieval building with spectacular ceilings. Good dinner around 20 euros and continental breakfast. Very helpful host. Excellent coffee/ cake Cafe across the toad

Choose it because it was close to the the airport . However it was difficult to get a taxi to take us there when we arrived late in the evening because .It was so close the drivers prefered to take longer journeys. worth prebooking

Location is in the middle to reach easily any destination. The place was incredible full of history. Staff was helpful and very approachable. Room were welll clean

Beautiful 13th century fort converted into restaurant and hotel. Full of character. Lovely staff, great location for the airport or exploring Perugia / Assisi

I should have worn ear plugs as woken in the am by the little traffic about. (My other half was fine!)

This 14th. century building is nothing short of amazing. Our jaws just dropped when we entered the room, it truly looks like in the castle. Enormous rooms in size, friendly staff, very good breakfast and about 15 mins drive to Perugia

Breakfast was good. Located on small Piazza, it feels like a small Italian town with mostly local people about. Staff very helpful. We would stay there again. You do need your own car, little public transport.

Lovely staff, receptionist Luca went above and beyond when our flight was delayed by more than 2 hours so we arrived tired and hungry after the restaurant and bar had closed. He made us tea and got my husband a beer, settled us on a comfortable sofa in the bar and rustled up a platter of cold meats, cheese and bread. The building is fabulous, and Luca happily recounted a potted history (he should have gone home 2 hours earlier! The room was enormous, tastefully furnished with a super clean ensuite shower room. We slept very well in the huge comfortable bed, . Good continental breakfast, then, sadly, had to check out. We had only booked a 1 night stay en route to our son's wedding. Again Luca (back on duty already, covering for a sick colleague) could not have been nicer or more helpful. He gave us directions and recommendations for scenic places to stop for coffees and lunch on our drive to the wedding venue. I had not planned to visit Italy again in the near future, but am now very tempted to return for a longer stay at this hotel and explore the area properly.
