We stayed in a safari tent with shared facilities. The tent was spacious, bed was super comfy and the A/C worked well. The tent comes with a bar fridge, Kettle, mugs, wine and drinking glasses fyi. There is no kitchen/microwave, byo plates/cutlery fyi if you plan to do any self catering. (And dishwashing liquid) There was a free washing machine/dryer which was very handy! There are barbecues to use free of charge. The lodge pools were great and nice to cool off in. The restaurant and bistro food was quite good, maybe a little more expensive but not by much compared to major cities. The bistro meals are quite large fyi. Overall a great location and beautiful setting, I would definitely go back.

Showers could do with a bit of a scrub No dishwashing liquid supplied even though there was a dispenser for it in the shared facilities.

Great location, comfortable bed, shower was small but great pressure and temperature, other than the pizza the food was very good esp the fish and chips from the food truck. Tours left from in front of lodge, lots of different tours, the store carried almost everything you need (except long sleeve shirts which I needed and forgot to pack for hiking). Room was attractive (we stayed in the family lodge room) , fresh towels when needed etc. , great bar in the restaurant, breakfast buffet was good (I loved the pancake maker but found the scrambled eggs runny)

I found the food to be about twice what I was expecting to pay. I know they have to bring everything by truck and Australia is kind of expensive anyway but yeah....I would suggest buying snacks, wine etc. before coming if that is a concern . Mostly I wish there was wifi in the rooms but they had it in the restaurant so honestly it was fine not be connected 24/7.

We had a very comfortable stay at Cooinda Lodge in one of their glamping eco tents. Our eco tent was beautifully furnished and had a large and comfortable bed and air conditioning. We had a shared bathroom facility, but it was the cleanest, nicest shared bathroom that we have had to use with towels, facecloths and bathmats in stock for use. The shared amenity block also had complimentary access to a very good clothes washing machine and dryer which was helpful. From what we could see, Cooinda Lodge is the central hub in Kakadu and where you want to be! It has two restaurants to choose from, a great pool and playground area, a petrol station and store for top-ups. Cooinda is also the departure point for the Yellow Water River tours (an absolute must!), so not far to go for that 6:20am sunrise wildlife tour! We found Cooinda Lodge a very convenient location to base ourselves and the staff did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and to help us with our bookings and sightseeing recommendations. We would definately stay again and would reccomend Cooinda to others.

Great location to experience the wonders of Kakadu National Park. I thought it was a much better option than staying in Jabiru. Stayed in one of the lodges with own ensuite - very expensive, but I guess it's location, location. Friendly, helpful staff, bar, restaurants, two swimming pools, small superette, tour desk, laundry facilities. Recommend the Yellow Water River Cruise at 4.30pm for 2 hours - saw amazing birdlife and lots of crocodiles, beautiful sunset. Also recommend driving to Nourlangi Boulders, Ubirr and the 60 minute flight over the Kakadu was fabulous. Loved it.

I highly recommend this property but just be prepared to pay higher prices than you normally would for accommodation, food and beverages - it's location is remote, so that's what you're paying for.

. The pools were nice. It was convenient and provided access to Kakadu.

They rooms were small and basic. The amenities were lacking - no coffee pod machines. Basic decor, which didn’t make it feel particularly special in view of the price. The large numbers of guests also made it feel very impersonal and this was reflected in the food and amenities. One night, we couldn’t even get a table for dinner and eventually took our meals back to our room. We also found ourselves queuing for things like morning coffee, access to seats by the pool, reception etc. This suggests that guest numbers are currently exceeding capacity.

The best beds ever, like laying on a cloud. We stayed in an eco tent. They don't have bathrooms, so you do have to walk to the amenity block. It was extremely clean and well looked after. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower block were lovely. The staff were so good, gave us all of the tips for a great holiday Food at the Bistro although pricey, was excellent.

If you need to get up during the night, ask for a tent close to the amenity block, we were in number 10, which was a short walk, but it seems further in the middle of the night!!! Definitely will get the ensuite tent when we come back!!!

Very noisy with work being done around. Given it's exclusivity for Kakadu Park, I was dismayed, when after very late rain closed many of the attractions, the hotel was not prepared to meet us half way with a refund for the 2nd night we had booked. We explained we had been in the park 4 days already and nothing left that we were able to do there. Staff sympathetic but hotel policy is 21 days notice or lose it. Poor policy for this type of hotel in my opinion.

We booked a glamping tent (Outback Retreat Plus) - This was a beautiful glamping tent with a front deck, a side room with bunks as well as an ensuite. You wouldn't know it was a glamping tent, it felt like a hotel room! I was happy we chose to pay extra for the ensuite. It was very close to the pool and restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful. You definitely need a hire car when you stay here. We day tripped every day to different water falls and walks and you're driving about 1-2 hours each way from this location.

Nothing, everything was great.

The Lodge rooms are well laid out and have basic tea/coffee making facilities. The bistro and restaurant are good, with an excellent breakfast and not overly expensive. The pool is spacious and covered by shade sails, which make it perfect for a refreshing dip on a hot day. The tours of Yellow Billabong operate from the complex and are an excellent way to see the wildlife of Kakadu. Conveniently located to explore all of Kakadu.

A microwave in the rooms would have been handy. The lighting at night on the paths to the rooms could have been better.

Lovely experience at Cooinda, best sleep for a long time. The glamping Villa was very well fitted out and the bed is luxurious. I enjoyed a bath on the deck and the airy bush views when canvas windows were unzipped. Quiet at night, and very convenient to the fabulous Yelliw Water sunrise cruise.

There is a toaster, kettle, bar fridge & pod machine, but no way to heat dinner in the Villa, no microwave. I think it's a bit much to tell people to walk to the campground 'kitchen' at this 'high end' price point. And I suggest breakfast should be included at the price point for the Villa.
