I decided to book this place because I needed some peace of mind to relax and they proved it was the best choice. the staff are highly professional and they do more than the required to make you satisfied. Everywhere some disturbances may occur but the way they solve it is the most important thing so I would like to thank them for everything and especially Dilsha for everything she did with us. High quality Spa, super delicious food, outstanding hospitality,big room size, the property is built inside the nature so you can expect an exceptional atmosphere.

The location is far away from any big city so its difficult to leave the property at night. The resort may need more activities especially during the night.

When we arrived, the room was ready. We were served welcome drinks which were fresh fruit juices. The hotel room and the porch outside, overlooking the swimming pool and after that the sea, were very good. Baby cot and tub was provided on request. The premises of the hotel were vast, and roaming in and around the hotel was fun. There was live music in the evening for both the days that we were there. A la Carte Restaurant was very nice. They had the best Sri Lankan food that we tasted. Breakfast Buffet had many options, and multiple types of salads and sandwiches which we absolutely enjoyed.

Room size was smaller than expected. After the baby cot was put in the room, it felt a lot more cramped for space. In house liquor was really expensive. The USD to LKR conversion rate applied by the hotel was pathetic.

Fantastic hotel with a nice view. customer service to the next level with skilled staff.Breakfast, dinner, and lunch are higher than other bellwethers. Recommend for solo ,couples or families .

There are no hair dryers. Not recommended for international business. Some tribe rule over payment systems. Prices are all in USD, albeit in their own currency. ←Avoid if you have a Stripe wallet .

Hotel in need of renovation which is currently being undertaken. Staff in the restaurant were not attentive enough in my opinion. One evening we had to ask for drinks 3 times.

Buffet breakfast and dinner was excellent with a variety of Western and Sri Lankan cuisine. Service was commendable. Staff were very polite, obliging and helpful. Good location with beach access and a relaxed atmosphere. The suite we occupied was spacious with comfortable furniture and facilities. The room was large with a large comfortable bed. Clean and well maintained hotel with a large pool.

The only issue we had was the bathroom in our suite was unsuitable for the elderly, as you had to climb a step and into the bathtub to have a shower. Due to the design of the bath and shower area, when having a shower the bathroom would be flooded and we had to keep using additional towels to mop up the water. The SPA services were quite expensive.

We selected Heritance Ahungalla for our honeymoon, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Even though we booked through Booking.com, we contacted Mewantha for more details and he handled everything wonderfully. From reservation to check-out, the care and service were exceptional. A special thanks to Mewantha, Trilishiya, the lady who escorted us to the room, and the entire front office team. Everyone contributed to making our stay and special night perfect. The location is calm and peaceful, creating the ideal environment for relaxation. The food was also excellent, with a great variety and quality. We highly recommend Heritance Ahungalla to anyone looking for an unforgettable and memorable stay.

Got the premium ocean view but I didn’t have a good view of the ocean. My view was obstructed by trees and that was disappointing. Tried asking staff if they could place me in another room but due to lack of a availability, this could not be set up. Please see attached photo.

Beautiful open spaces and our room looked over the beach for sunsets. The room was large and clean and there were things to do while it rained. Go to the spa !!!

There was a total lack of communication as we didn't book a package . We discovered that every time we order anything we had to tell the staff we need to sign. We booked for 2 nights unexpectedly as the election curfew messed with our original plans. The resort was mostly empty. It's not a full all-inclusive, meaning some guests pay a la carte. For the all-inclusive, the selection is OK - local spirits and a short list of cocktails. Wine is only served in the restaurant at lunch and dinner, which is weird. Food was good, but couldn't help the feeling that because it was not fully occupied the choice wasn't all there. The pool is nice, the beach is nearby (but not really a great beach, some serious surf). Rooms were OK, very clean, wifi was fast and the overall experience positive. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which helped a lot. The gym was also a welcome addition - nothing big or fancy but there to be used, which is always a nice touch.

all-inclusive is restricted, and no wine in the bar (just in the restaurant at lunch and dinner). Rooms are fine, but not 5-star by any means (maybe a generous 3 star).

The location is good, there is a long stretch of beach to walk down. The staff are friendly and helped with any issues we faced, they even upgraded us when the AC was not working. The buffet and alacarte was really good, when there was a hiccup in the order the resturant offered to remake the dish for tomorrow.

Everything was good! The only complaints would be that the dogs on the beach are a little too friendly, they will jump up at you and the bathroom does not offer much privacy.
