This is an older hotel and it's not fancy. But it's the closest hotel to downtown Douglas, within about a 15-minute walk, and one of the least expensive in the area. Plus, it's quite comfortable with a newer bed and also has a microwave and mini-fridge. I stayed here a couple years ago for a show at The Martin Center in downtown Douglas and decided to stay again for another I attended this past weekend. And if I return to Douglas for another show at that venue I'll probably stay here then, too. The owners are very nice and try hard to provide decent lodging at a reasonable price. But if you're the type who insists on a fancy hotel, this is not the place for you. It's simply a comfortable place to sleep without a whole lot of bells and whistles, offered at a reasonable price in a great location.

it was convenient to the location we were attending.

I understand it is cheap to stay there but the rooms had a bad smell. In total we rented 4 rooms it was a big family we were attending a party. some of the rooms were dirty and the ac didn’t work and when the clerk was approached about it his response was “ well you are staying at the cheapest hotel here what do you expect” that’s not the way to answer.

There was a huge water bug. I don't like water bugs...

Staff was very courteous and friendly. They work very hard to maintain the property and serve the guests.

No hangers in the closet, no iron, room was not thoroughly cleaned, very minimal toiletries and towels. Also staff kept a very large dog on the property.
