Super easy check in. The host wasn't there when we arrived but instructions for the lock box had been sent prior by email and text. Perfect location just off the main high street. So practical but so quiet. The gardens are obviously well maintained with beautiful native plants and mature trees to provide dappled shade. Outdoor BBQ with seating, hammocks, trampoline and games are wonderful additions to the shared garden. My kids in particular, enjoyed the hammocks and games :-) I tried the trampoline but creaked under my weight- should it be serviced?! We stayed in the Tui Chalet and it was perfect for a family if 4-5. The private garden was a bonus. I can't wait to stay there again and would highly recommend to others. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Our kitchen was just missing a drainer for wet dishes, which was mentioned to the owner on check out.

It was a nice two bedroom place with some garden. I can’t really find much fault with the property, it’s more Murchison. Basically I’m not even sure why the place is there. I guess you need to be into walking/biking or river stuff. Otherwise there is little point in staying. If you are going to stay then this place is ok. Though I struggle to think of something that makes it great.

It could have been a bit better stocked with things. I’ve found motor lodges to be better stocked. It felt cold in the morning, despite it only being in March (maybe that was a one off). The Wi-Fi was not great. Indeed I ended up hotspotting my laptop through my phone to get a better signal.

The location was great, handy to town but very quiet with nice garden surroundings. The room and bathroom wete very clean, although the very small size hand basin was tricky for teeth cleaning etc!

The lack of a kitchenette was a drawback, most other motels at the same price had one. I suggest having a gas ring in the outdoor kitchen, and maybe a frypan, saucepan and some utensils etc kept in a large plastic bin. It could be developed into quite a useful inviting area.

Beautiful place! Good location, great hosts, very friendly and knowledgeable. The warmest room we have been so far during our trip! Very nice and cozy. You will definitely not be cold there 😍The facilities were great. The shower was very good and the bed and pillows very comfortable.

We stayed only one night and it was raining so didn’t really get the chance to explore the area unfortunately.

The room, which was actually a cabin, was awesome. A really nice lounge with some games, a kitchen and a deck with the garden view. Two bedrooms. Plenty of seating space for an outside meal in the evening or morning sun. My 3yo really enjoyed the trampoline and some balls in the garden. Check-in was super easy with the key hidden in a box with the code which the owner had texted me that morning.

The dishes, especially the frypan and the chopping board, were really greasy. I had to wash and scrub them a lot before using.

Really liked the location, love Murchison. The cabin was very good in that there was plenty of room & well layed out. The kitchen, bathroom, lounge were all large enough, the bedrooms were also large enough with comfortable beds. The owner was very friendly & super helpfull with riding advice, local weather & mtb bike set up.

The only thing was there were no insect screens on the windows so they had to be closed in the evening to keep the mossies out.

Walking distance to town. Room was clean and comfortable. King size bed was great. Arran was very friendly and met us when we arrived late to make sure we found our unit ok.

Not having a sink in the room to wash our dishes but having to use the camp kitchen. Wasn't a big deal though as we would definitely stay again.

Our cabin had it's own little backgarden which was often visited by a beautiful, very friendly cat Plenty of songbirds in the garden A much needed AC that helped us survive that Murchison summer heat Kitchen has plenty to work with to cook Cabin actually seems bigger than it looks from the outside!

Nothing!

Cabins are super clean and comfortable and the garden is lovely. This was the perfect place to stay before our Old Ghost Road adventure. There was so much space for our group of 8 to organise our bikepacking gear and get our bikes set up. Great coffee and food options nearby. Arran is an awesome host and he looked after us so well with transport, bag storage & relocation all for a very reasonable price. Big thanks to Arran. We’ll be back!!

Everything was great. We were arriving late in the evening, so after a long day on the road, it was lovely showing up to a tidy warm unit. Then waking up on Christmas morning to a private garden view and a nice stroll down to the river with amazing views of the valley topped it off. Comfortable clean facilities and meet the staff in the morning. Will happily stay here again.
