location is great plus each room looks over the water & has been recently updated. The rooms were very well refurbished & are very comfortable & ac works well. The TV is large & there is a cool Marshal Bluetooth Boombox for music. Housekeeping does an excellent job & everything was spotless. All of the staff were very friendly & nice which is the best thing of any hotel.

The attached restaurant is expensive & not so great yet there’s many good one’s close by. The fact that you are billed $100.00 if you are one minute past checkout time (11am) is ridiculous as are other rules that you have to initial & sign before checking in so keep track of time. Never have had to do that anywhere outside of the USVI. All of the room doors are extremely loud when closed (easy fix) plus there are chickens out front so you may want to keep the porch doors closed @ sunrise.

If you decide to stay at the King Christian Hotel in St. Croix USVl, do not expect name brand hotel experiences as this is a boutique hotel with some amenities but they do not have microwaves in the rooms and there is no parking on site. It is sitting in the lovely area of CHRISTIANSTED and it is in the vicinity near shops, dining, and there are two event excursion or tour places there. There are a lot of things that are within walking distance but it is worth it to get a rental car and learn to drive on the left side. The management at the hotel was very accommodating as we did have to change rooms due to my sister having a disability and could not take stairs as some areas in the hotel you will have to climb the steps. I plan to come back and get treated like a "QUEEN" at the King Christian. SO if you want peace and quiet with a lot of sun rays , this is your place to go. Also getting from this side to the other side in FREDERICKSTED that has other lovely beaches is only 25 minutes. Please come and visit here as there is no passport required.

Wish they had onsite breakfast or give you discounts for getting meals close by ; need parking that is a must ; microwaves in the rooms would be great

Comfortable rooms, water views from the balcony, easily walkable to everything in Christiansted, helpful staff (minus the issue mentioned below), well-done renovations with modern touches but keeping the building's character.

We had to move rooms in the middle of our last night because the A/C stopped working. The staff suggested we could get a discount/refund but never got any follow-up from the hotel or manager when inquiring about this with the front desk and through Booking.com. The lack of follow-up was the only reason I rated an 8/10 rather than 10/10.

Beautiful hotel conveniently located in the city. You can walk to restaurants, shops, stroll the boardwalk, get on catamaran for a day or half day on the water and even do some snorkeling. You can take the boat right on the boardwalk across to Hotel on the Key and go swimming or venture out and go to any of the nearby beaches. The room were comfortable. I love the renovation that was done. Definitely would stay here again!

If you have a rental parking could be challenging.

The suite is really beautiful and we liked the facilities overall. The hotel is very conveniently located.

We had sent an email to the staff a few days before arriving in order to arrange a taxi and we never received a response. We were left stranding at the airport for an hour before finding a taxi - the hotel staff was of little help that night. Also, the suite is quite noisy at night.

Beautiful location, very safe, very clean. It was great that there were restaurants and a coffee shop on site.

Hot water was minimal in the shower. Since I was traveling with a friend, it would have been nice to have a curtain or door to close off the bathroom sink area. You couldn’t turn on the light without waking the other person. The toilet and shower did have a door.

Beautifully renovated hotel offering esquisite vistas along the shoreline of downtown Christiansted. The hotel's vibrant waiting area included rare table-sized books by artist Fritz Henle and was a welcoming surprise!

Elevator was out of commission making travel to the third floor a struggle with luggage in tow..Air conditioner unit failed, however, mainteance was quick in responding, applying a temporary "fix" which only provided limited relief. Switching rooms appeared not to be an option as I was informed that all rooms had been booked. 0f note, front desk staff only notified hotel's maintenance staff after being "encouraged" to act after iniitially presenting a laissez faire attitude. Perhaps because of late hour check-in attributed to the attitude?

Love the location the decor friendly staff and super helpful all the other amenities like coffee shop ice cream shop restaurant bar boat trip to the beach access so many more ohhh also welcome drink rum punch ☺️

I could live with it but the chickens sometimes can’t think of much else maybe the beach towels can’t get to easy if front desk is buzy we just have to wait our turn and not be rude or disrespectful and crab a towel.. we would never do that anyway

Location is nice. Right on the boardwalk. Once you park (a pain) everything is right there to enjoy. Shopping and restaurants. But I have to say that location is everything. The fairy ride to the beach is free for people staying at the hotel. Don't forget to tip the boat captain. I'm sure pay is low and the short trip must be boring at times for him.

the hotels downtown do not have parking lots. You're left with an overnight lot that isn't bad at $5/night but several blocks away. It will be great when the construction of the new elevator is complete as works starts at 7AM

The hotel is excellent after its recent renovation. The room was beautiful with gorgeous views and amazing staff. The room was very clean. Well designed. The pool was beautiful and they have parking! Will stay here again if I come back to St. Croix.

I would make the wifi password protected.
