We had a room with a view over the lake, it was very beautiful and I felt very relaxed looking at the birds that live there. The first evening we ate in the restaurant, it was an excellent meal, and much nicer than the next night when we ate out in the town. They have a bar and some outside tables, also a car park and a garage for bikes and motorbikes. It's a short stroll to the town and the castle, both well worth a visit.

The room was small and the decoration a bit tired, however the price was lower than other hotels we stayed at on our holiday.

The hotel is in a picturesq location next to the lake. The hotel is an old building therefore do not expect a lift. The location was excellent for bars and restaurants nearby. The staff were really friendly. It also has the added bonus, that if you're on a bike (be it motorbike or cycle), there is secure parking under the hotel so under cover, they also have a pole and hangers in case you need to dry out any outer gear. It was a really peaceful place and we heard no noise

There was no aircon or a fan in the room. The lack of air con is to be expected due to the age of the building and being next to a lake, we didn't want to chance opening the doors in case of mosquitos. The bathroom was also very small but they have made the best of it. These are just issues that you have to get over and it didn't ruin our night there.

The staff were fantastic food excellent, and the location was also perfect.

There isn't anything I didn't dislike about our stay. The only thing I would suggest the rooms would benefit from is air-conditioning. It wasn't very hot when we stayed but I would imagine in a hot spell the rooms could get very hot to sleep in. But I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

Location perfect if you want an overnight about 30 mins out of St Malo. Our ferry was late and the owner waited up for us to check us in. The hotel was very quiet in a beautiful location.

Would be nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the room, but this wasn’t the only hotel we stayed in that didnt have this.

The staff were very helpful, friendly and very accomodating. They squeezed us in for dinner even though the restaurant was fully booked. Our evening meal was excellent. View of the lake from our room was a bonus. This is a homely French hotel rather than a characterless international chain hotel.

The bedroom and ensuite were looking a bit tired and the bath was a bit small for showering in.

The hotel was nice and clean, the location is wonderful! Great views onto the lake and within walking distance of Combourg. The owner was very welcoming and accommodating. We had dinner at the restaurant, the food cooked by the owner's husband was delicious and of such high quality. We would definitely recommend stopping over, even if it's just at the restaurant. A place we'd all love to come back to.

Lovely location set by a quiet, beautiful lake and right in front of the Chateaux. The centre is about a 5 minute walk (if that) where there are a couple of Boulangeries, a couple of tobac cafes and some restaurants. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and spoke good English too. We ate at the hotel a couple of times and the food was excellent, despite being a little short staffed the food came out hot and in good time. Bedroom was clean, shower, quite powerful and the bed was super comfy. We were both really happy with both the hotel and staff.

The only thing I could suggest is maybe have a fan in the rooms as there is no AC and the evening got so hot it was quite uncomfortable.

Location is great (castle & lake view) with delicious meals. A homy feeling with such combination of classic & modern ambience. Friendly host/reception(esp.Claire & Louis). Enjoyed our short stay:-))

Amazing location and beds are very comfortable!

The hotel needs a bit of a refresh. The rooms and bathrooms are quite dated. No USB plugs in the rooms, which is expected nowadays. No sound proof between the rooms, quite noisy. No air conditioning in the rooms, very hot in the summer.
