This was a gem of a place in Karaoz -- Soner and his parents run a great place! The shuttle from Kumluca dropped us off in front of the unit (thanks to the hosts for helping us navigate the public transportation (they even offered to pick us up if there were any problems). Be sure to ask about dinner a day in advance. We lucked out that they had food and we enjoyed a nice grilled fish dinner for 800TL each (a little high, but nice since we hadn't planned anything). The breakfast was generous and the hosts couldn't be kinder. When there was a mix-up with our room (an unusual situation out of their control), I was really impressed at how well Soner handled the situation. I worked in hospitality for 30 years and was very impressed with his service recovery skills. Not only did he provide a clear explanation and heartfelt apology, he was overly generous in trying to make it right. I would definitely stay here again. Great value for the price.

I had a wonderful stay at the charming pension run by a warm and welcoming family (Sukran, Kerim, and Soner). From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with genuine smiles and a sense of hospitality that made me feel right at home. The family's friendliness and helpfulness added a personal touch to the entire experience that truly set this pension apart. The homemade breakfast provided at the pension was a delightful treat every morning and a fantastic way to start the day. The pension is located on the renowned Lycian Way, which is a true blessing for any nature enthusiast. It is situated in close proximity to a sandy beach, but also there are nearby bays that are ideal for snorkeling. Overall, my stay at this family-run pension was a remarkable experience. The combination of their warm hospitality, proximity to both the beach and snorkeling spots, delectable homemade breakfast, and access to the Lycian Way created a vacation that was everything I could have hoped for and more. If you're seeking a retreat that offers not just accommodation but an authentic and memorable escape, this pension should be at the top of your list.

We stayed at Gelidonya Pansiyon while hiking the Lycian Way. Soner and his parents are incredible hosts. They go above and beyond. We arrived very late and asked for recommendation to have dinner. Since we were off season and most places nearby happened to be closed by that hour, the hosting family offered a homemade dinner, which was a real Turkish dinner and was absolutely wonderful. Soner's father has a small museum in the house and has a very impressive collection of antiques. He truly enjoys people staying at his place and loves to share stories and photos. When we started our hike after the checkout, we ran into a water stream in town (it rained a day before) that made the road hard to pass. To our surprise, Soner's father was riding his motorcycles doing some errands in town and he offered to drive us to the other side of the stream! Not only that, but he then offered us some mandarin oranges to take for the road. What a wonderful hospitality! Highly recommend staying at Gelidonya Pansiyon if you want to get close to real Turkey and experience wonderful hospitality and care by incredible hosts!

Gelidonya Pansiyon feels like home and family and they were immediately ready to help us with anything we needed even without asking. ❤️☺️ What is big plus is a kitchen and washing machine that is available for all guests. Plus, sea view and terrace is just perfect! 🌊⛵️ The location is amazing, really centered of all the best places (Kaş, Kaputaş beach, Olympos, Olympos teleferik, Çirali, Mount Chimaera,Suluada island) and there is something interesting to go every day but of course car is recommended here. The beach near the house is absolutely amazing and we were spending really nice evenings there. 🌄🌅 Thank one more time for having us and wish you all the best. 💙😇

Good to know: There are roosters 🐓 around in the village, so if you are sensitive to sound or have light sleep, please come with earplugs! :)

Staying at Gelidonya Pansiyon felt like staying at home with your family. The pension is simple, but the rooms are clean and there is a great and quiet AC. The location is calm and not very touristic. It’s very near to the beach and a few restaurants. Although the communication was a little difficult, the family was very caring and we got a selfmade türkish breakfast every morning. We did a great boat trip with the owner in his boat. We really recommend to stay in this pension, were you will feel welcome from the very beginning.

There is also a kitchen for all the guests to use which is practical, but the cleaning management doesn‘t work very well. The host should ask the guests to clean up after cooking.

The house has a wonderful terrace to see the sun setting in Karaöz and the family is super kind and helpful in making your stay comfortable. The breakfast was huge and yummy and especially the downstairs terrace really tells a story. This is the house of a story teller and collector! I had a good time staying there walking the lycian way and I really appreciated it.

I would say that it was a little bit high priced because it is rather basic, tiled floors, white light, basic rooms, bathroom has a shower and toilet in one and not much decor or comfort to it, like for example only one outlet next to the door, no small table etc. It‘s basic but clean and nice.

a unique experience staying with an authentic, kind and generous Turkish family. you get the impression that you are seeing the real Turkey and meeting the real Turkish people (We didn't see or hear any other foreigners during our whole stay) Even though the hosts English was very limited their warmth and kindness shone through and we had a fantastic time. Our children loved Soner, Sucran and Kemir and it was an experience our whole family will always remember with great fondness. The drove us to the shops, to nice beaches, even picked us up with a neighbours truck and the kids got to ride in the back, cooked us traditional Turkish food and served us Turkish tea and coffee. Great memories!

The beach nearest the hotel wasn't the best, bit rocky and some plastics getting washed up on the shore but there was an area reserved for hotel guests and a pier that you could jump into the sea which the kids loved. Kemir took us to a much nicer beach a few kilometres away which was very scenic and beautiful with lots of shade and picnic benches.

From booking Gelidonya Pansiyon, we had excellent communication from Soner, including helping us arrange a transfer from Antalya airport to Karaoz to start the Lycian Way. We were warmly welcomed to the guesthouse and it immediately felt like home. We had a comfortable, clean room, with excellent views down to the sea. The beach is only a few minutes walk away. There is a kitchen for guests to use, however Soner kindly offered us dinner, which was delicious, followed by a generous breakfast the next morning to strengthen us for the start of our hiking. The whole family were kind and welcoming throughout, and couldn’t do enough to ensure we were having a good stay. We were sad to leave, but they sent us off with fresh oranges and recommendations for the rest of our trip!

Lovely guest house located close to the main beach. The double room with en-suite that I stayed in was clean and served the purpose. There’s an upstairs balcony that is a great place to sit when the sun goes down. The host family (Dad, Mum, Son, Cousin, Grandma) were so warm and welcoming they even invited me to share in their Iftar meal. They also provided me with a packed breakfast as I was keen to leave at dawn. If you get a chance to see inside the hosts house it’s like a museum. The dad collects everything from old phones to traditional musical instruments. It’s like the Old Curiosity Shop!

My experience was all positive.

We liked the location; just a minute away from the shore. The staff (Soner and his parents) were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. The room was clean. We had a nice little balcony where we could sit in the evening.

What disappointed us, was the fact there were no kitchen facilities. On Booking it said there were....... Maybe because of early season........???
