I had a single room in the "new" building, behind the original hotel building, that was a very nice and quite new room, with a nice and clean badroom, fridge, small desk and a 1 person bed. The basefloor of the orginal building looked renovated completly and the restaurant and breakfast where very nice. Looking out of the windows over the harbour and fjord during dinner and breakfast was very nice.

The bed had a very basic spring matrass, it was ok, but I expected a bit better.

Room, bar, restaurant, food and staff were all excellent and very good value.

The worst thing was the door to the stairs made a lot of noise when it closed which woke us up early in the morning. Please fix this so the door makes no noise at all. This would be a HUGE improvement. Thanks!

the hotel is in a beautiful location. the rooms are spacious. the rooms with a view of the water are recommended because of the great view. we had a quiet night and did not hear the other guests. the water system can be heard when the bathroom is used in the adjacent rooms. the breakfast is fine. the check-in and check-out times are long. (15:00 in 12:00 out) the employees do their best to make your stay as smooth as possible with the help of an automatic check in system. this works well, although this can be experienced as a bit impersonal. a personal check-in is also possible. the beds are good. the colors of the rooms are a bit dated but that applies to almost all hotels in Norway. the reviews on Google and elsewhere are more positive than on Booking.com.

The place is nice. Nothing super fancy but it's a good stay for a night. The in restaurant is quite good and breakfast as well - especially taking into account that there are not a lot of alternatives nearby.

Perfect location for this hotel, close to the sea and marina. Sand is a small place and everything is near by. Visit the salmon area for salmon jumping in July. Very good breakfast and nice friendly staff, good beds and clean room Free parking.

The hotel is situated in the very center of Sand, two min walk from boat terminal and cozy old town. Calm and peaceful place with a beautiful view.

2300 NOK for a double room is quite extreme and not matching the standard of the hotel.

Location was beautiful. Size of room (although we did have an “accessible” room! Lots of little touches made the room very comfortable. Very good evening meal used local ingredients.

Breakfast was mediocre but perfectly acceptable.

Fantastic location on the edge of the water in a little village, good size hotel with safe parking. Nice walks to go on and the salmon viewing further down the road was very good. Evening meal was good, nice beer, breakfast was fine also.

A little dated in the room compared to other hotels but it was fine for me.

the room was big the view from the hotel is nice breakfast was good

the showers took more than 10 minutes to get hot water! the elevator closes really fast and it almost KILLED ME!! the room was next to the parking and it felt less private I couldn’t understand the self check in process at all and needed the help of the staff to understand where the room is
