The location is so tranquil and amazing. After work it was perfect to rest and relax. Pool was so nice with the country sounds is all you can hear. Rooms are amazing. The owner is a great guy. So accomodating. Makes check in so comfortable and gives you all the privacy you need. I travel far and wide and stay at many places around Australia. And this is one of the best experiences I have had. If you are looking for a time out with relaxing comfortable vibe. This is it. The wildlife and stargazing at night is also a bonus Great little pubs in town for a feed. Or or the facilities you could as for in your rooms. Free beer wine or soft drinks on arrival by the pool. Cannot complain about any of it. And it’s only going to get better as they continue the plans they have. If I’m ever passing or at charters towers I would not look past this place to stay.

Absolutely brilliant! We stayed one night on our trip out to Longreach and found ourselves back in Charters Towers a few days later due to a mechanical issue with our car. Most accomodation was booked out so we contacted Vanessa at Kernow who worked her magic to accommodate us for 5 nights while we waited for our car to be repaired. We stayed in apartment 10 which was more like the size of a small house with beautiful views from the three bay windows overlooking the paddock and distant bush. Immaculate and modern decor in and out! Comfortable beds, lovely hot rain shower, great size kitchen, bathroom and living area and so much room! Vanessa ensured we had everything we needed and topped us up with fresh towels, toiletries, linen and other essentials each day. She even offered us her car so we could get around while our car was off the road! Also, the little things that make a stay so special were not overlooked. Decent amount of washing powder, lovely toiletries, milk, bread, cereal, eggs and a good amount of coffee, tea and sugar were waiting for us. Quality wine glasses, water glasses, crockery, cutlery, knife set and appliances as well and plenty of each. Beautiful pool area with loads of space and seating. Even though we did not plan the extended time in Charters Towers, our stay at Kernow certainly made up for it. A beautifully clean and modern place, tranquil and peaceful. Everything was great.

We stayed in the 2 bed, 2 bathroom house/apartment. There were 4 of us. It was absolute heaven. We were going to go out for dinner but decided it was too beautiful a home to go out and cooked ourselves. The facilities were excellent - amazing dining table, lounge area, bedrooms, beds and bathroom. The location is quiet, just outside Charters towers and the property itself is extensive and full of potential. For the energetic there is tennis, walking and a nice looking pool - we didn’t do any of this as we were so happy with the home we were in and just wanted to stay there! The welcome from the owner was also lovely, clear and helped us feel immediately at home. Thank you!

They greeted you at the gate, show you directly to your room and informed you of the best way to contact them should you have any problems. They offered a complimentary beverage pool side and it felt like a little resort. Could enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sun set from my poolside deck. The breakfast was a great addition. Made it super easy and didn’t have to worry about organising it myself or travelling into town. Amazing customer service. Could not fault them in any aspect. Will definitely visit again!

We liked the whole experience of staying at Kernow. It was like having our own little cottage and we were shut off from the outside world. A lovely little deck and grass area at the front and a courtyard out the back of the apartment. To have a continental breakfast supplied topped off the experience of our stay. An exceptional place to stay and staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. We were greeted upon arrival at the main gate.

We were made feel at home from the minute we were met at the gate by Les. The apartment was lovely. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, and was better than some 5 star hotels that we have stayed in. We appreciated the generous continental breakfast, and the complimentary poolside drinks were a nice surprise. We will definitely be returning to Kernow and staying longer than one night next time.

The apartment was well appointed, spacious and comfortable with all facilities we needed for a 4 night stay. The breakfast provided was beyond our expectation. We were extremely impressed with how courteously we were treated by the proprietors and especially their kindness and care extended to us. The location was quiet and private but still close enough for access to town.

Couldn’t fault our stay.

Our Kernow apartment was spacious, well appointed full size kitchen, good variety for breakfast, tastefully decorated, light and airy. Great shower, hot water, perfect., comfortable king size bed. We had seating on the front verandah and in the enclosed courtyard off the main bedroom. Perfect location for our purpose. Friendly welcoming staff. Highly recommend.

What a beautiful place! Lovely furnishings and facilities, everything thought of, and apartment much bigger than it looks in the photos. I had a separate office and there was an in-apartment laundry which was really handy. Welcome drinks by the pool were a nice touch!

Nothing we didn't like. It was great, the only shame was we were only staying one night! Well perhaps the only dislike is the town of Charters Towers itself; this property deserves to be a better located and better quality town!

Beautifully clean & large rooms from the living area to the bathrooms & bedrooms. Lovely linen, glasses, cutlery, bedding. At Kernow they’ve thought of everything. Friendly & efficient staff without being too intrusive. Such a fantastic place to stay. It has all you need. You won’t find better!
