Location is great, within walking distance to a number of restaurants and wine bars. There is a very nice restaurant on site called Atable. This is where the breakfast is served as well, for about €18 pp. The coffee was exceptional at breaky and the breads and crossiants were so fresh. The staff were very friendly. Street parking is available free or park behind the hotel in secure parking for €10 per day. We managed to get street parking right out front both nights. A walk around the Old Town is worthwhile. It pays to pre-book dinner reservations in Frienshiem. The restaurants are quite popular, we stayed on a Sunday & Monday night and found that only about 3 restaurants in town were open Monday. The room size is huge and has a nice view of the courtyard.

We had to make a booking for breakfast each morning. We spent the day out and returned about 4.50pm on Monday and found the reception was closed. We went to the restaurant on the morning and thankfully they would take us for breakfast. Staff were really welcoming and accommodating.

We just loved everything ! Beautiful hotel, beautiful backyard, Exellent parkingplace, Exellent room with exellent bathroom. Lovely and and very friendly staff! We could come back anytime!

That we had to leave after one night... Would have been lovely to stay during the wine harvest...

Just awesome all the way. The restaurant is the best. The chef was excellent. Amazing food! Amazing place!

Great Breakfast and a very good traditional German restaurant for dinner.

The room was roomy, nice and had lots of cupboard space. The breakfast was plentyful and very good. There was a very nice garden, but on arrival it wasn't pointed out, so we didn't really know about it until we asked the last day. Location of the Amtshouse was great.

Receptionist wasn't very helpful/ interested on arrival - she wasn't interested in our request for bike hire and pointed us to the tourist information at about 3.30 pm on a Saturday afternoon even though it had closed at 2pm (I feel she should have known). Luckily we managed to rent bikes from the hotel where we stayed a couple of years ago and who does rent to people not staying there. Shame the receptionist at the Amtshouse didn't know. She also promised breakfast outside weather permitting - I feel she should have known that the court yard would be in the shade at breakfast time and that the temperature woudn't be warm enough despite the sun, so no chance for a breakfast outside. Further, we weren't shown that there was a lovely garden. There was no coffee machine in the room and the minibar didn't include any wine. Our room (34) was on the ground floor overlooking the road and was quite noisy (there weren't many cars but you heard them very loudly due to the cobble stones, also people walking past could be fairly loud). Hotel information was on an app. Unfortunately, we only had a couple of days and didn't feel like wasting time reading through an app.
