Schlosshotel is a large, modern-ish international-style hotel that is used by people on business and for meetings, conferences, etc. That said, we found the 'bierkeller' type surroundings of the bar/restaurant very satisfactory for us as tourists and they have made the outdoor area at the back of the hotel (formerly a car park) into a pleasant seating area for pre-dinner drinks. We booked this hotel because Herborn is fairly close to the German national motor museum (the Loh Collection) at Dietzholztal.

Nothing, really. We normally go for smaller, family-run hotels in Germany, but the Schlosshotel fitted the bill for a one-night stopover and Herborn is a pleasant enough place.

my second time here. The room this time was even better than last time. Very comfortable, clean and quiet. Breakfast was excellent. Staff very welcoming in reception and breakfast room. On the night we arrived the hotel bar/restaurant was closed on national holiday but we found a very pleasant place to eat in the Cornmarket. This hotel is so lovely to visit , everything is to the best standard and such excellent value!

Hotel parking is limited. There is public parking at the rear of the hotel. Charges apply between 09.00 and 18.00

Breakfast was excellent, staff were courteous, friendly, helpful and professional. Room was clean, warm and the shower was powerful and hot. Single Bed was not particularly comfortable, but that is because I am not used to sleeping on a single bed. The concierge was professional, and extremely helpful. I ate at a delicatessen in town, the staff were friendly, and the food was fresh and delicious. I also ate at an italian restaurant the same evening and the food was excellent and staff were professional and friendly, which balanced my disappointment on the evening of my arrival. The town was picturesque, and should have stayed in the town to explore the local market.

It was disappointing not to find anywhere to eat in the hotel or the town when i arrived at the hotel, and had to settle for a cup of tea until breakfast the following day.

During my visits in Herborn I have always booked my hotel rooms at the Schloss Hotel. Amazingly clean and comfortable facilities. Wonderful breakfast buffet! Schloss Hotel Herborn is very conveniently located close to the picturesque market square and shopping center.

Breakfast was great and the staff is wonderful. The coffee is fantastic! 🤣 The room was great. The only issue is the beds are 2 twins pushed together with 2 small (but comfortable) blankets. That would be the only thing I would work on. Refrigerator in the room is a big plus. I enjoyed staying here and would again!!

Becoming my temporary home, based on my best hotel selection in the radius around, my pleasure and already first great experience, very very pleasant, comfortable, clean, quiet and in a beautiful location under the mysterious castle 😉👆

+ overall great service and staff + good price-service ratio If we have to stay in Herborn again, we would go there again.

- based on the hot weather the room was a bit too hot for my taste and the provided ventilator was not able to process the air as required - for my taste the bed was a bit too hard, but its just a question of taste. My wife was super happy with it.

Hospitality and efficiency of staff and the quality of breakfast. Good quality fresh fruit, vegetables, eggs, bread, cheese, etc. plus homemade marmalade. Beds are comfortable and rooms are very clean and spacious.

We were lucky to get a parking spot right out front. Staff were mostly .very kind. elevators make life easy. Breakfast was yummy!! Good coffee.

it was kind of strange to go downstairs to the reception from the front entrance. The staff in the hotel restaurant were rude--we left. ..in town was a great outdoor cafe by a fountain and we enjoyed the evening.

Comfortable beds and electric window shutters made for good night's sleep. Quiet location in Old Town. Staff was friendly and provided good service for a birthday party we attended in their function rooms.

Parking was a bit tight. The refrigerator was tiny, only room for mini bar drinks.
