The healthy vegetable gardens everywhere … knowing all veges and salads served are grown on the property. Large water vessel in foyer to fill own water bottles from rather than individual plastic bottles in the rooms. Super friendly staff who are obviously well looked after eg staff (and guest) Zumba class every second day … the staff obviously enjoyed this and a fun thing for them to do together! The foyer was an inviting place to hang .. good temp and nice open feeling. Good to have a swimming pool.

Great breakfast and the staff were super helpful. My room was clean and tidy however the door needed to be pulled shut with force otherwise the door lock wouldn't engage. Overall, a great vibe, friendly welcoming staff and excellent facilities. There were good cultural gifts available in the lobby and an ATM for withdrawing cash.

Door to my room wouldn't shut without having to use a bit of force, I didn't notify reception otherwise I'm sure they would have rectified it.

The staff and the food was on point 👌🏽👏🏽 this is why I would come back to Tanoa. The food is organic and grown in their gardens we loved our breakfast every morning.

There were some flaws in the disability bathroom. Every time you took a shower the whole bathroom is flooded. This is due to bathroom floors that have insufficient drainage slope, we had to use towels (a significant amount) to stop the flooding.

The room was perfect me and my Grandmother, the buffet breakfast was consistently amazing and the Staff were amazing, especially Elvis and Saul. We also enjoyed all the meals and specials put on by the restaurant

Everything was amazing but the staff were just perfect. Please make sure they know that and look after them!

There was only western food on the menu and at breakfast. I would have liked to see more local foods available. Sipi lu, roast pork, taro, ota, sapasui, topai, fresh local seafood and Otai.

The pool was a huge bonus as we have two little girls who love to swim from sun up to sun down. The staff were amazing and always tried their best to arrange any request we had. Food was good and the breakfast buffet was a nice touch.

Itemising the bill when settling needs more attention to detail just so you can justify your hang over even more lol light humour other than that we had a fabulous time. we would absolutely come and stay here again.

The staff were really nice and helpful. The food was nice but very European… no traditional Tongan food on offer. The pool was lovely to hang out by while we waited for our late flight back home. We loved seeing all the vegetables and herbs growing all around the grounds for the restaurant. Our room was nice and clean. We loved the local art work and murals on the walls.

The garden view with balcony room in the description turned out to be a view of the neighbouring house backyard and full of barking and fighting dogs through the night. The aircon unit of the room next door sits on our balcony and whirred loudly off and on all night too. The bed sheet didn’t fit the mattress properly and bunched up. The gift shop was not stocked well… it would’ve been cool to see more local jewellery, artwork and prints of the work we saw around the hotel. To have them unframed and ready to travel in a tube to avoid crushing would’ve also been awesome.

From the beginning to end the whole experience was awesome. From checking in, greeted with a smile then you go to your room. Its small but enough for you to stay in. The aircon ddnt work the day we checked in and had called staff to check it out a man come in checked it out and all was well. If ever we needed anything the staff always helped us and was so nice and friendly. We had dinner there that night food was so on point! Filled us right up portions are so good. Kids loved swimming in the pool and you can watch them while having something to eat. Breakfast was complimentary so that was soo good and freshly made. I would definitely stay there again absolutely loved it.

the pool and the room were delightful. Spacious room and small fridge which came in handy for the duty free we had brought with us, a few hours were spent each day in the room due to the high humidity. Bathroom was big enough with complimentary beauty products and shops only two blocks away. There is an ATM by reception and breakfast was lovely and plentiful (eggs cooked to order, cereals, cooked items and a local dish always on offer). The staff were great and so friendly. The perfect place to do nothing but read by the pool and relax.

Room service could have been a bit better but we were on holiday and on Tonga Time! Anything you wanted could be easily provided, but expectations may need to be altered.
