The staff was nice and everything else than the transport worked more or less good if you like a place that have a spirit of a cruising boat. We saw lots of wild life in a short trail that was on the way to the train station.
We were completely dependent on a shuttle bus that drove once every our. The short trip took everytime ages because we stopped to another hotel for a long time. On the day of leaving they wanted us to wait the whole day until 4 pm in different places because there were not place for the luggage down in the train station, they wanted us to be there one hour before the train came and there was not interesting trails close to the hotel. The view is not worth of that amount of waiting.

Beautiful views from room, and absolutely wonderful staff! Very clean (besides bathroom) and plenty of room. They made sure everything went smoothly for us, even personally driving us down when we misunderstood how the shuttles/tours worked to make sure we made it on time. Our bags were delivered straight to our room from the train, and they even came by and picked up our bags when we left. Shuttles from hotel take you everywhere you need to go, and the shuttle drivers are kind enough to make detours or wait a bit longer if you request (e.g. let us pick up a to-go order and get back on, so we didn’t have to wait an hour for the next shuttle). Highly recommend this place!!
Bathroom smelled a bit, and shower curtain was black at bottom.

We switched to this place after seeing the terrible place that had been booked for us elsewhere. We had previously driven up to check out the amazing view and were very happy to have been able to get a room for the night. The rates on line were much less than what the front desk told me when I called. We were on the 4th floor and only had a view of the bus parking lot. The busses start their engines very early in the morning so you have to close your window. We would have eaten breakfast but didn't want to pay $30+ each. We had eaten at the restaurant for dinner the night before and it was really good. We had a window seat with a beautiful view. This lodge is very close to the entrance to Denali National Park.
When we arrived to our room it was a very long walk from the elevator and the trash had not been removed. Otherwise all was good. The beds were a bit mushy for us.

The room was clean and looked to be very recently updated. Very comfortable bed. I liked that the sink was separate from the toilet and shower. The food at the hotel restaurant, Apenglow, was delicious. The shuttle service provided was helpful and ran on time. The views from the property are amazing. We had no water for about 12 hours our first morning. Kudos to the staff for a quick turn around - they began trucking water all the way from Fairbanks to replenish the water supply to get water service back up and running until they could complete necessary repairs. Throughout our stay the staff was helpful and responded via text to any questions or concerns in a timely manner.
I was disappointed that there was no lunch served at the hotel. There was shuttle service provided to town, but you had to wait an hour for it to return. When getting back from a tour midday, it was a long time to wait to get lunch.

The Grand Denali Lodge is perched high above the main road with breathtaking views of the national park. It is just a short drive off the main road that transports you to incredible views of the surrounding mountains. The property has a restaurant, bar and coffee/grab & go cafe that was very convenient. The room was great with a king size bed and all the room amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Location was perfect for a visit to Denali National Park.
After considering several accomodations in the area we chose this lodge for the location and view. We were not disappointed with our choice!

Exceptional property
Very expensive drinks at bar and restaurant was to expensive with a small Menu. Breakfast way over priced. Alain boxed lunches outrageously priced too. We did not get enough information about visitors center at check-in. No manual guide for the TV or on the actual TV itself. You had to wing it changing channels. Amenities such as coffee and other miscellaneous items at the snack bar At the

The room looked brand new inside. Very nice decor. The restaurant had excellent service and views.
Half the rooms don't have a view out the front of the hotel. You do get a view of trees. The restaurant had a very limited menu for dinner. I would not have been able to walk down the hill to any services, but they do have a shuttle that runs every hour.

Beautiful grounds and location. We didn’t have a car so relied on hotel shuttle and we’re appreciative of it running on time and to the main places we needed. Staff very eager to help make stay pleasant-checked in via text. Room view was incredible.
I feel the AlpenGlow menu is a little fancy for the location. The restaurant is big but no one was eating in there. Being isolated at top of mountain, our family would have liked a more casual menu-we ate dinner one night at 10pm there after a long day of adventure and the menu wasn’t very kid friendly and very expensive. I don’t feel the ambiance and quality of the menu lives up to the high cost. Burgers, salads, kid friendly fare seems more fun and appropriate for the vibes of the lodge. The breakfast/drink station is awkward and shoved into a corner with bad people flow-just open up the restaurant and serve everything there.

Nice facility. Appreciated laundry room. Nice views.
Shuttle service wasn’t frequent enough ( only once per hour). We spent a lot of time waiting for a shuttle at one end or the other. Breakfast buffet was too expensive with no other cook to order options available. They did have grab and go which we utilized our second morning.

We splurged on the Mountain View and they were magnificent. The rooms felt new, clean but sparse. Shuttle service to just about anything.
Food options limited. The dining very expensive. Bar closes at 10 sharp. We returned from the tundra tour late and would have liked to unwind a bit. Staff could have been more cordial.
