Chambers d’Hotes Maison Balady is an absolute delight and Marjolaine and Marco are the perfect hosts. Their home is an oasis of calm set in a beautiful area The room was very well appointed as was the whole house and the terrace the perfect place to take in the views and the sunshine. The evening meals, enjoyed at the table with other guests, were superb. Many thanks for a wonderful experience.

There was nothing we did not like.

We were so lucky to find this hidden gem of Marjolein and Marco! Their place is just wonderful and it feels like pressing the pause button right away. Upon booking I got a call from Marjolein right away to ask if we wanted to attend dinner, which we did :) Marjolein gave us a very warm welcome and asked about our breakfast egg preferences ;) which was so nice!! The dinner was exceptional!! We had a four course meal and I would say it was one of the best foods I ever had in France! Marco prepared everything with vegetables from the garden and Marjolein introduced each course really great!! At the dinner table we had great conversations with the other guests and our hosts, interesting and inspiring! The breakfast was just great!!! Not only sweet but savoury as well ;)) I would recommend this place to anyone really. I could have easily stayed a couple of more days and nights for the food, the atmosphere and the inspiring company of Marjolein and Marco :) Thank you very much!!

Very friendly hosts, great evening meal & breakfast, highly recommend dining with them. Lovely room & ensuite, nice touches such as little eggs for Easter left in the room for us. Great coffee machine, kettle & water bottles too. Wish we could have stayed longer to explore the area more & benefit from Marco & Marjolaine’s great hospitality but we were heading north to catch our ferry. Would definitely stay again in any of their 3 rooms & make the effortt to divert our route to swing by Maison Balady again.

There was nothing to dislike - all very positive, all areas.

Everything exceeded expectations, the room was clean and comfortable, the evening meal was exceptional and a lovely breakfast before our long drive home to the UK. Very relaxing evening with beautiful views from the terrace.

Nothing could of been better

Beautiful calm setting, perfect for relaxing and walking in the countryside. About 15 minutes from the charming village of Charroux, and about 45 minutes from Vichy and its famous thermal spas.

Location is idyllic and our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Marjorie and Marco were excellent hosts and our evening meal was fabulous. Breakfast was also excellent. Can’t wait to go back.

We were warmly welcomed and we were thoroughly comfortable in our ground floor room which was a good size and with a very comfortable bed. Would totally recommend booking an evening meal which was well cooked, delicious and in a lovely atmosphere with our hosts and other guests. Was also a lovely varied breakfast. The surrounding area is very pretty and would happily visit again to explore further.

The property is a beautifully converted farmhouse in a peaceful part of the northern Auvergne. It was a very convenient place to break our journey back up north, but there would be enough to do nearby to justify a longer stay. The room was comfortable and spacious, with a modern bathroom. Not only was the breakfast great, but Marjolein and Marco also offered a table d'hotes (evening meal) which was delicious.

Nothing (unless you count driving through Clermont Ferrand earlier that day, but that was definitely my partner's fault...)

Lovely rural location, the hosts are extremely welcoming and there is an option to have an amazing home cooked evening meal. Breakfast was also a fantastic choice of delicious food.
