Stunning chateau with beautiful views and authentic furnishings albeit some quite unusual. We were the only guests during our visit and had a wonderful evening enjoying it to ourselves. Use of the kitchen to prepare evening meals as no dinner service which was great for us. A lovely lady cooked us breakfast the next morning when we came downstairs from our Princess Suite - a real treat. Stefan our host was very personable and check in was easy - great place to stay if your traveling down to Dordogne from Brittany Loved our stay!!!!

Everything about this place is unbelievably and somehow unexpectedly amazing and unique. This is a very special hotel indeed. Driving through the deserted French countryside in the rain and the dark, we found the chateau and a warm welcome from Stefan. He directed us to a fantastic Auberge nearby which did great food. The room we stayed in was exceptional and the en-suite had the shower in the tower! The next morning we were given a tour of the castle by Michel another of the owners. The eclectic mix of antique and modern combined to astound us. They have truly performed miracles with this previously forgotten country chateau. We shall make a detour on visiting France in the future to return to this jewel in the countryside.

On arrival Stephan was very friendly and welcoming and made us feel at home , encouraging us to use all the facilities and giving us information on places to visit on our travels . We loved the grounds and meeting Isabella in the morning who provided us with a wonderful breakfast and was so lovely . The chateaux is filled with the most amazing antiques and modern artefacts . It's a must to see. Would highly recommend a stay at this very special chateaux.

Stunning home set in beautiful gardens. Stefan was so welcoming, and Isabella was really helpful. The climb up the narrow winding, 40+ steps might not be good for everyone (not all the rooms are on the top floor), but our suite was so worth it. Our huge, comfortable bed was in a beautifully clean, spacious room filled with lovely eclectic furnishings. Breakfast was a relaxing leisurely affair with plenty to choose from. We would be delighted to stay at the chateau in the future.
We drove past a few times as we missed the entrance. Signs are quite small to see in the dark. Room windows were a little difficult to open on a hot night; but we got there in the end and had a fab breeze all night. Would have been nice to have tea or coffee facilities in the room. All minor issues in an otherwise perfect stay.

A superb location and setting. Well greeted and a very satisfactory range of accommodation and facilities. An obviously huge effort made to decorate and keep the whole property in an excellent and interesting state. Breakfast was excellent and copious and all staff met were helpful, friendly and efficient. Loved the dogs Ivan and Igor.
It was only an overnight stay, and quite frankly, can't think of any way to improve matters over that period.

The place and the grounds were lovely. The host and staff friendly and efficient. We stayed in the main house. Gorgeous room overlooking the beautiful grounds. Attention to detail. The owner directed us to a fab place in the village for food. The breakfast was pleasant. The place was full of beautiful treasures. Will come again!!
Nothing.

Everything was beyond expectations: the kindness and welcomeness of the hosts (Stefan and his lovely British-styled team), the location and landscapes are breathtaking!! The equipment of all facilities is also just over the top: all is done here to make you feel comfy and special (gowns for every guest, "feel at home" atmosphere...). And I can't find words to describe the nights at the pool. We absolutely loved it !
errrr.... nothing at all. Everything has been thought positively already!

The owners and staff take every care so that you can enjoy your stay with them. Ideal for a peaceful relaxing holiday.
There is nothing to dislike it is a perfect Chateau, swimming pool really good. However, the bedrooms inside the Chateau are beautifully furnished with outstanding views over the countryside. But if you are of a certain age where climbing stairs or steps often is an issue for you Book to stay in the Annexe where it's just two short flights of stairs to the bedrooms.

Friendly and welcoming arrival - Stefan and Isabella made sure we had everything we required + a bottle of Champagne awaited our arrival - Views from the Chateau are amazing, local amenities & restaurants within 10 to 20mins + La Rochelle only an hours drive away - Thank you Stefan, Isabella & Anita for making us feel very welcome and we hope to see you again soon! Wonderful chateau/hotel in an absolutely lovely location. Beautiful views and attractive gardens. Was upgraded to deluxe room so, many thanks for that. Clean, comfortable with excellent staff. Great breakfast. Could not fault. No restaurants in walking distance, but we were prepared and had picnic by the pool!
If I was nit-picking I would maybe suggest a small shelf in shower. Quite difficult handling shampoo/conditioner/gel etc using floor.
