Unique opportunity to stay in a historical castle. Despite the age of the building the rooms and facilities are clean and very well maintained with all the necessary equipment. The rooms are large. Friendly and helpful staff and an excellent breakfast complete an exceptional experience.

The only small complain is related to the bed in my room, that although "double" it had two separate mattresses. That meant that if you turned towards the middle of the bed in your sleep, you were often ending in the uncomfortable space between the two mattresses.

A wonderful location and amazing buildings with sumptuous bedrooms and top quality bathrooms. There are many buildings onsite including a restaurant and bar but the bar was not open when we visited.

The food from the restaurant was lovely but took an age to arrive with the main course coming 90 minutes after we ordered. Apparently it was due to not enough staff for the number of guests. It would have been nice if they had offered us a glass of wine on the house or knocked something off the bill but that didn’t happen so the delayed meal soured what was otherwise a fantastic stay.

The Hotel enjoys a stunning location, but off the beaten track. Its setting above a Attendorn is a delight, bur accessed by a winding road well worth the journey. It is in a genuine castle (Burg). Our room was large and airy, well maintained and clean. The beds were comfortable and spacious. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Meals taken in the hotel were of good quality and of generous proportions. A delight to stay there!

Early arrivals had the best parking, but we got to see the farm animals. Watch out for the geese, they think they own the place!

We had dinner at the restaurant on the premises, and it was superb. We had to leave early in the am, and unfortunately, we were not able to experience the complimentary breakfast. The castle and the surrounding area was awesome.

I cannot think of anything negative regarding our experience and stay at the castle.

Beautifully maintained property, amazingly surrounded by a great park with lots of walk, trekking options. Hats off to the spa and the massages package too.

May be a swimming pool could be added to the property. Nevertheless, it is a great and highly recommended place.

What a great location and what a friendly/attentive service by all staff. On top: rich and balanced breakfast buffet in a stylish breakfast-room. We booked the towerroom, which was great however (not surprising) not on a 2023 standard. The bathroom however is complete, and rather new/modern

Na - if you are on a higher tower-floor : luggage will go up through a spiral staircase 😀

The restaurant was fantastic, the service was very friendly. I was sitting outside in beautiful surroundings. I had burger and sweet potato chips which was delicious and my room was big and very nice.

The parking was a little bit tricky, not much space unfortunately. Apart from that there is nothing bad to say about this hotel.

The buildings and grounds were wonderful, a perfect place to sit for a drink and dinner on a beautiful summers evening. The food was excellent with plenty choices to suit everyone for dinner and breakfast. A number of things seem to be grown/made on site, the jams at breakfast were lovely. All staff we met were very friendly and helpful. Loved that this a working castle with geese, the family cat and donkey wandering around. The location on top of the hill gives great views. Rooms were spacious and clean. Plenty parking.

The accommodation was excellent and the dinner and breakfast were both superb. The public rooms are all beautiful and perfectly in period. The staff were friendly and efficient. We only stayed the one night but would love to come back for a longer period.

Very nice room with high ceilings and a view of the town and hills. Hiking nearby. Good breakfast. Free parking.

Charging the car is a bit expensive.
