Staff being present at the time of check in. A message posted on office door directed customers to call for check in. At the time the male agent gave us the room and code but did not show up to complete financial transaction. This required we speak to the cleaning lady the next morning to pay for our room before we could checkout. This lady was such a sweetheart and very apologetic about our experience the evening before.

We have been staying at Fossil Butte every year for the last 6 years. New owners have made some nice updates. The new mattress was very comfortable. New furniture was very nice as well.

Previous stays the hot water in the shower was a highlight - great water pressure and plenty of hot water. This year we had to let the water run for 5 minutes to get it hot enough and still not quite hot enough - did you change to a continuous water heater from a boiler type? New shower head is nice and the two of us were split on it - I liked it, my wife like the previous.

A very clean bbq so we a cooked pork loin and corn on cob on the grill! Pleasant change for on the road! Left us with great fresh lunch meat for next day!! Very clean room and bedding!!! Staff was terrific providing bbq utensils and paper plates and Salt and Pepper! We carry sharp knife and metal silver ware for breakfast and lunch on the road. Great night great price!

The Fossil Butte Motel is super easy to get to, it's right on the main street through town and there is a great Mexican restaurant right across the street. The room itself was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was very helpful and flexible, we arrived after hours and she was detailed about how to get into the room.

I paid an additional charge plus a pet deposit for our dog. While we were very careful and clean during our stay I haven't gotten the deposit back yet, so overall it was a bit more than I had expected to pay. The lot is also 100% gravel or paved so there's no real place to take pets.

Great little place in a convenient location! Thank you for providing laminate flooring for dog friendly rooms! This is excellent and makes the rooms cleaner and I don't have to worry about carpet when traveling with dogs. Though we don't have accidents, muddy paws and drool from the water bowl happens! We do our best, but we really appreciate the simple but very nice setup.

There are not many food choices in town , not the motels fault at all. The water faucet in the shower was a little touchy if you are there with kids dont let them run their bath water , it will either be scalding or freezing. It takes a gentle touch

We loved that it was clean and in a perfect location for our fossil dig at American Fossil quarry. The vintage feel of the property was very sweet. The staff was excellent. It’s a great value for the price. If you’re in Kemmerer, check out Fossil Fuel Coffee and Rosie’s Pizza.

The room was comfortable, roomy, warm, and clean. TV, fridge, microwave.

The door code did not work, but there was an actual key in a lock box I had access to right next to the door. In order to use the microwave, I had to move it so it could be plugged into a wall outlet as it kept kicking the power strip it was plugged into off. The strip had other items plugged into it that were not in use. However, I think the power strip was not right for the microwave.

The young lady who checked us in and seemed to manage the place was very pleasant and helpful. We didn't know what to expect but we were really pleased. If we are ever through the area again, I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

Really, there wasn't anything we didn't like.

I booked the room via Booking a few hours before our arrival. We had a delay so we arrived around 10pm. The front desk was locked, no one even tried to contact me with the information how to get inside the room. Anyway, what needs to be pointed out is the cleanliness of the whole room! A+ for that.
