Charming place to stay, with a nice touch of history and a great location. The room was small but cute, with a lovely view of the yard. Comfortable bed.
Unfortunately, the staff seemed tired and indifferent. The lady at the reception allowed me to leave my backpack there before check-in without mentioning that it might be unsafe (there is no separate storage room, and other luggage was also left in the same aisle). Of course, it was my responsibility to check in advance whether a secure luggage storage option was available. However, it would be greatly appreciated if the staff could inform guests of this beforehand - not afterward, as one of the other receptionists did when she explained that leaving bags in the aisle is at your own risk and that no one is watching over them.

My husband and I stayed there in March, and it was truly a step back in time. The building, with its charming half-timbered architecture, feels like a living piece of history. Every corner of the hotel exudes character and takes you on a journey to the past. The room was warm, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I must also mention the receptionist, who was absolutely wonderful. He was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and despite the language barrier, he went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. His warm attitude really made a difference in our stay.
I have no major complaints. The only downside was probably having just one shower for two floors. But this wasn’t a problem for us, as there weren’t many guests during our stay. Besides, for an old building, it’s quite natural.

Superb central location. Quaint, historic (?14/15 century) property. Obvs no lifts, air con etc, but if you want that, stay in a Novotel. Perfectly clean, comfortable etc and everything worked. Quite uncompromisingly French (& I’m seeing this as a good thing). Traditional French breakfast in the morning nice…I’ve seen one or two gripes about this, but if you want a German style breakfast, why not go to Germany. Or to England for a full English. Lots of late opening restaurants on the doorstep, so plenty provision in the evening, but it was buzzy, without being noisy. Pretty good, overall.
Nothing, really. Some slight convenience things, but if that’s important to you, go to a Novotel.

The building is absolutely stunning. We were put in the attic but I didn't care because the views were lovely. The windows were so old & quaint with shutters. The staircase was ancient & traditional to the mediaeval style of the building. The room was small & basic but the bed was incredibly comfortable & we were able to sleep with the window open listening to the sea. We had fun with the jacuzzi bath.
The price was rather a lot for the time we were there.

This place surprised me in the best way possible! When I initially planned my stay I wanted to live near the beach without breaking the budget. I realized that this is not a new posh hotel, I didn't expect much for the price I was paying. This is a wonderful place to stay, the staff is super helpful, and the building is a historic wonder of its own. The room - was super clean, small but comfy, with a private bathroom and one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in. I was able to leave my bags at the reception on the day of checkout at no additional fee and the ladies at the front desk were super friendly. I loved this place, and would come back again and again!

the room was large, clean and comfortable. the location was great the staff at the hotel did not speak English, but was very helpful and very friendly parking nearby was possible
communication was very difficult as no-one speaks English it was difficult to find a parking place, as the hotel does not have his own parking place. Parking costs were separate, which I don't remember seeing on the Booking.com there were no rooms on the ground floor, which might be an issue for people with walking disabilities. the reception and the breakfast were in another building, which was a bit surprising. The restaurant under the hotel, did not have even English menu and the prices were very high.

Lovely hotel in a very old building so the squeaky floorboards and simple windows does make for some noise but for us was part of the charm. Good, simple french breakfast. Very clean room with clean towels and shampoo and soap provided. The staff are friendly, in the customary french straight talking way. They spoke very little English (but as I speak French it did not hinder us but could tell some other guest struggled).
A little direct frenchness from staff that did not bother us but could be upsetting for others.

The hotel is amazing, it contains some elements of a 15th-century building and you can smell the old wood. The reception desk is in another hotel, just across the street. We stayed in a room with a shared bathroom, but I think there are only two rooms that use it, so it was not a problem. It is also very clean, so don't be afraid of choosing this accommodation. We also had a sink in the room, which made things even easeir. The room was really cute, with beautiful wallpaper and a widow which overlooks the backyard, so it's very quiet in spite of a central position. Speaking of position, you're right in the very heart of Etretat, and it's super close to everything (beach, cliffs, restaurants, shops). The cleaning service is excellent. You can get fresh towels every day, but if you want to be more ecological, you can use same towel for a couple of days.
The room we stayed in was quite small and the huge bed took most of it. There is no wardrobe, so you have to keep everything in your suitcases. There were six (!) pillows, and since we only used two, we didn't really know what to do with the rest (in a small room it really is a problem). Those were the only minor inconveniences, apart from it the place is great :)

Beautiful building in the perfect location. Having a restaurant downstairs was super convenient. Friendly staff.
Walls are unfortunately as paper so you can hear every movement in the building even with ear plugs. I hardly slept since my room neighbors started making noise very early. Jacuzzi was basic and the shower cord was broken, plus you can't shower, just take baths . Also some toiletries and and a bottle of water would be appreciated.

Very charming old building with a lot of character in a very central location, just steps away from the beach. Clean and tidy rooms, loved the bathtub. We had a room with a sea view. Friendly and helpful staff.
Small spaces and a bit noisy as long as the restaurant downstairs is open, afterwards quiet. Breakfast is a bit basic.
