I like the location of this hotel. It is centrally located in avanos town where u can find many restaurants and shops. The hotel is beautifully decorated. U can see hot air balloons in the morning from the hotel terrace in a distance. Yusuf kofteci is our favourite restaurant so far and very affordable. Kapadokya lezzet sofrasi is delicious too, about 5 minutes from the hotel. Murat is exceptionally fantastic. Very kind, hardworking guy. He helped us carry our bag to the top floor. He explained to us on where to go, what to do around the area.. He took beautiful photos as well. Thank you Murat for your hospitality❤️👍🏼Breakfast is really good too we loved it so much.. There's so much to choose from. Everythings is great.

The hotel is not suitable for people with knee problem or on wheelchair unless u request for ground floor room. The hotel has no elevator but we were ok with it.

We had a wonderful stay at Sofa Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, offering stunning views that perfectly captured the charm of Cappadocia. The hotel’s location was ideal — close enough to explore local attractions easily, yet peaceful enough to enjoy a relaxing atmosphere. We especially loved the delicious breakfast spread that provided a great start to our days. Overall, Sofa Hotel exceeded our expectations with its friendly service, cozy ambiance, and excellent amenities. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting the region and hope to return ourselves soon!

We honestly couldn’t find anything we didn’t like during our stay. Everything was thoughtfully taken care of — from the comfort of the rooms to the kindness of the staff. It’s rare to leave a place with no complaints at all, but Sofa Hotel truly delivered a flawless experience for us.

This was the best hotel that I have stayed in during our 6-week trip so far. The hotel is beautiful, filled with interesting art and trinkets. We loved how unique and interesting this place was; very historical yet still comfortable. Every corner of the property has a story to tell. From the original floors and vintage furniture to the colorful textiles, mismatched cushions, and lush plants tucked into every nook, it’s clear that so much love and creativity have gone into preserving its charm. The hosts are lovely, very helpful, and kind. I wish we had more time to just hang out at the property. The area is also nice. We enjoyed walking around and across the river. Lots of restaurants to choose from. It is quieter than Göreme and only a 10-minute drive. We were very happy with our choice to stay here.

One of the most charming hotels we've ever stayed in, it surpassed our expectations. The hotel was truly beautiful in a great location in Avanos and the staff were friendly and helpful. We booked the Deluxe Double Room which was amazing....it was huge, with a super comfy bed, a fantastic shower, great wifi and a lovely sitting area. We spent time on the lovely rooftop terrace on one afternoon and had dinner at the restaurant right next door on our last night. Tip: you should at least have a drink next door, the entrance to the restaurant needs to be seen! Breakfast at Sofa Hotel was also amazing, so much to choose from and the best of our trip. We were recommended this hotel and, unusually for me, I booked it without doing much research.....I'm so glad I did. We couldn’t have wished for a better stay!

This hotel exceeded our expectations on every front. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the rooms are clean and nicely furnished, the staff is very polite and helpful, and the breakfast they serve is plentiful and great. If we ever come back to this region, we are definitely staying here again. We also liked the fact that it was in the town of Avanos and not in Göreme where the majority of tourists stay when they come to Cappadocia, so it was more laid back, quiet and peaceful. They even gave us a souvenir when we were checking out. I cannot recommend this place highly enough......stay here if you get a chance, you will not regret it!

Early morning hot air ballon show was fantastic. Breakfast was very good, a lot of selections. They should eliminate packed market items. The hotel was converted from 13 old residents. Thinking about these old times and and imagining old residents with children, several families living in harmony... thinking all these was like a dream. I like the poems just outside the hotel. All the region is a ferry town, with a lot of secrets. I recommend reading Gürsel Korat's books on Cappadocia.

It took sometime to discover how to start the hot water. We visited not on high season. But during these times parking could be difficult

We were staying second time in Sofa hotel, first time was with friends, now we decided to show Cappadocia to our kids. The challenge was to find a room for 5 for reasonable price, - no chance in Goreme, but Avanos is great option to stay and Sofa Hotel is outstanding place there. Very good location just in center of small city with close proximity to cafes and restaurants, 7 minutes drive to Goreme - if you are looking for more crowded and noise places. Hotel itself very clean, super nicely decorated, very nice ambient rooms - if you into nice Instagram photos - great place to make them, if you a looking for romantic breakaway - again it there, if you are looking for bigger space while staying with kids - again you have it in Sofa hotel. Good breakfast offer for various taste. Parking just in front, no need to climb through narrow streets. Hotel personnel very kind, helping with all requests and warmly welcoming everyone. If we will decide in future to go to that area again, hotel selection is super straight forward :-)

Nothing to complain about, just one point which will make me even more happy - espresso machine :-)

The room was spacious for a family of four. Open buffet breakfast with plenty of choices for all appetites. Love the location, great views; if you're up early, you can spot the balloons from a distance. The best part of this stay is the hotel staff who were so kind and accommodating; we had a midnight check-in and staff arranged for our transfer and was available when we got there. We also had a parting gift when we left which is very much appreciated. We'll definitely stay here again when we're back in Cappadocia. The restaurant next door is a must-visit if you're staying here.

Everything about this hotel was perfect! It is really like a dream staying here. Once we arrived we couldn’t believe our eyes. Photos do not do it any justice . You can tell that a lot of thought , effort , love and care went into it. Besides the fact this hotel is very beautiful and perfect in every way the owner and staff were very helpful and lovely and very hard working especially burak. The Family room we stayed in was pristine , spacious and comfortable and terraces offer beautiful views. Burial Front desk was very helpful in booking our tours and always greeted us with a smile on his face and always answered any questions we had. Buffet breakfast were delicious and always had a lot to offer from fruits , sweets , pastries , breads and meats aswell as unlimited drinks. Location is perfect , not far from all the tourist attractions but enough to enjoy a peaceful vacation away from the hustle and bustle. This place really made us feel like we were living in a dream. You will not disappointed if you stay here.

Everything was perfect!

First: Mr Murad: he is very good and always supportive. We reached at 3:40 PM and asked to help us for Quad bike..He arranged the same along with his colleague and yes we were able to do within 15 min. We were able to take the breakfast after 10 since our baloons delayed on the next day.. Second: Rooms are spacious and warm.. bathroom is clean and very good Third: Choosing Avanos is not a good option, if u want a party vibe.. Goreme is good for partying, restaurants, spend time outside. But if u choose avanos, sofa is best
