Very comfortable hotel with a terrace overlooking the scenery of the Cevennes. Good restaurant. When the restaurant appeared to be closed for diner on Sunday, they offered us a plate of tapas for very reasonable price.

A male staff member in the restaurant scorned a junior staff member at the table in the presence of guests. This is annoying: you should train your junior staff members beforehand and not let them fail in public. Feedback should be given behind the screens (and hopefully in a much more friendlier way).

The hotel is in a beautiful location and the view from the dining area is spectacular. We were visiting the nearby Musee du Desert and unfortunately did not have time to take advantage of the spa or pool. Our dinner was excellent, beautifully plated and deserving of a Michelin star! The room was comfortable and very clean. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We would highly recommend for a weekend getaway or retreat.

Beautiful views and a quiet, comfortable, and peaceful hotel. Staff looked after us very well. Excellent English spoken for those a little shy with languages. A lovely pool for an afternoon dip. Good parking and help with luggage. Great restaurant, with plenty of choice for breakfast and evening meals. Also options for different two-course menus, as well as 3/4 courses. Close to Anduze.

The hotel is very basic, but clean and the maid service did a good job every day. The restaurant is superb, and we had fantastic food and wine there.

There is no lift, so one has to manage luggage up and down a steep staircase. Anyone with mobility issues may have difficulties.

We had stayed at La Porte des Cevennes before and it was even better than we remembered. The location is great, with amazing views from our room and the panoramic lounge. The indoor pool was superb. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. Loved 'Croquette' the cat! The food at dinner was exceptional! Every mouthful was delicious. We definitely aim to return one day.

The location was superb and the hotel made excellent use of it with a wonderful large deck to sit on and enjoy the view. The swimming pool was a real bonus in a very spacious area with a view. The dinners and breakfasts were excellent. The room and bed were very comfortable and very clean. We would love to stay here again.
