Vert nice castle in a quiet location, generous breakfast, nice owner, easy parking.

No check in between 18.30 ans 21.00, which is exactly when I finished working and needed a shower and a change of clothes thé most.

Many thanks for organising very early breakfast at 6:00 am! Helped us to ride Tour of Flandres :)

A very nice building set in a very quiet and green location. The room was spacious and comfortable, as was the bathroom. Beautifully decorated. The breakfast was good. The staff were very accommodating.

There didn't seem to be much hot water in the bathroom. We had a few cobwebs on the windowsill.

It was very quaint. Breakfast was very good and catered well with a good selection of food. Comfortable bed.

Location was convenient.

The owners were stand-off ish and did not really make you feel so welcome

The location of the property is superb. The building itself is old and grand with lots of original fixtures and fittings

That the check in was very limited, between specific times. There was no one else staying this weekend. I understand this property is like an old stately home however our room had a shower inside the actual room. There was a coffee machine but no spoons to stir the drinks and given the grandness of the property they left out paper cups. Also it was extremely cold. No central heating on the Sunday night anywhere in the property, it was extremely cold and unpleasant. The host was pleasant enough on arrival and showed his face briefly at breakfast on the Sunday morning but other than that was not to be seen. Breakfast was very disappointing. On the website it said it was breakfast with bubbles. The breakfast itself was all placed on a plate like a child. Boiled egg, yoghurt. Orange juice already poured. Selection of meat and cheese of very poor quality. The book with the room instructions are only in Dutch. Whilst I made my way through it generally it wasn't until my partner came later on that had a proper look and it said that no eating was allowed in the rooms which is a bit of an ask really when the hospitality is so poor and you are nowhere near any shops! I feel very disappointed because we were really looking forward to staying here. It could be so much better. The location is amazing and it could be a really really great place to stay. The hosts need to be more accessible. On the plus. The bed was very comfortable with nice bedding and it was very clean and well decorated.

Breakfast was great! Delicious ! Kasteel also amaizing !

But in bathroom only half Bath of water was warm ... later cold water! 😐 They didn't fix it...
