This was our third stay at The Elgin group of hotels, the previous ones being Kolkata and Kalimpong and there is no doubt that the Elgin Pelling boasts of the best location. When yiu wake up to see the mighty Kanchenjunga, playing hide and seek as clouds block qnd reveal it's mighty presence, it is magic unfolding. The Elgin Pelling provides you just that, so much so that you can choose to stay at the hotel without heading anywhere in Pelling. What makes the stay all the more comfortable is the joyous nature of the staff, who ensure you are taken care of, the food which blew our minds away and the warmth of the entire place. Highly recommend!

Location is exceptional. Staff is very polite & hard working. They behave like a family member. Restaurant's staff is extraordinary & they serve their best. Interior looks heavy & make feel royal.

Property needs upgradation. This is heritage property but not meets the expectations as their tarrif is very high but facilities provided into the room are very far behind even into the bathroom there is no space for bathtub but they have provided & people need to take bath after standing into the bathtub. All the electrical switches & boards are needed to change. Even electric kettle was not working into the room. Geyser was not working so they provided one bucket hot water for bathing. Overall they charge heavy amount but facilities they provide are outdated.

Elgin Mount Pandim is located in a beautiful location with awesome views of the Kanchenjunga Mountains. It has spectacular views all around the property. Very well maintained property. Beautiful majestic old era rooms. Very tasty, excellent quality food. It is well worth the stay. Very close to Pemyangtse Monastery, Rabdentse Ruins and the Sky walk. We can get a beautiful sunrise veiw from Pemyangtse Monastery and the view of the reflection of the morning sun on the Kanchenjunga Mountains from Elgin Mount Pandim is breathtaking. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I had left my wallet behind in the garden with full of cash, credit cards and my ID's. The staff found it and called me to inform. The staff is honest with high integrity.

The location of the hotel is superb. It is well maintained. The garden is beautiful. The property offers breath taking view of the Kanchenjunga range. The staff is extremely cordial and helpful. Food is delicious even though a little more variety would not hurt. I hope to return for a longer stay in future.

We took half board and I would have enjoyed a few more choices that were less spicy/more 'western' type food in addition to the Indian choices. Very unfortunate that the weather was totally misty the three days we were there as we never saw the view of the mountains from the hotel

The location!! Oh my goodness!! The location and the view of the Kanchenjunga! To compliment that was the outstanding hospitality, the quaint old world charm infused property, and the absolutely delectable cuisine and service! A dream destination!

Location is the biggest pro (in case you have good weather) Staff was extremely nice!

The property is old/ historic (that‘s what you want when you book this) but for that price range i would have expected a better state (some more maintenance could not hurt, e.g. windows)

The amazing view from the balcony next to the restaurant. The stuff was super nice and warm.

I didnt like the fact that the spa was shut for the 2 days I stayed in the hotel.

I have no words to describe the Mountain View rooms that we opted for, we could see the Kanchenjunga peaks very clearly… the resort ambience was like an British boutique hotel and the dining table set up was also so very English… some tourist spots are near by like Pemayangtse Monastery is walkable… the bird park and the Rabdentse ruins are a KM away,
