We really liked the architecture and location of the hotel. It was obvious to us that when the hotel was first built, it was done so to a high standard. There are hardwood banisters, high ceilings, wide staircases and it's a nice space to be in and appreciate the past a little. We really liked the rattan and hardwood couches and the handmade walnut chairs in the stairwells of every floor. There's a free shuttle service to and from the dock which makes getting around easy. The staff was very friendly and professional. The room and hotel was spotless and the mattress was good. Our room had a nice view and was nicely furnished. The furniture is vintage, but it fits the vibe. It's well made and we really liked the aesthetic. It brought us back to another time and we were actually surprised by how well maintained all of the furniture was for it's age. Maybe we got lucky, but we kind of felt we were on a movie set. The breakfast was really something special. The view from the terrace was great. We had our breakfast after check out and had the whole place to ourselves. We regret not staying more than one night. This place ticked all the boxes that count for us - food, sleep, service. The rest is nice to have stuff, but not critical.

Like other reviewers have said, some of the facilities are a little old, but it's not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. It's a 3 star hotel on a remote island, so be reasonable. That being said, there we're a few things that could quickly improve the experience without requiring major renovations: The shower head should be replaced. The light bulb/fixture in the bathroom was horrible, the kind of light used behind a restaurant where the garbage cans are. 7000 kelvin dim light with a very low CRI, for those who know what that means. It made being in the bathroom a lot sadder than it needed to be. In 2025, good light bulbs are cheap and easy to come by. A few euros invested in new bulbs would go a long way. It would have been nice to have a fridge, but not a dealbreaker.

The rooms are huge in an older style traditional hotel complex , which should not deter anyone , as it is clearly a grand hotel of a different time (1980’s) . It provides all the facilities necessary and does it very well . The breakfast on the terrace is really good and It is provided through an attentive waiting staff . Everything about the hotel is good but I would have a to single out the manager who , at every opportunity stoped us to ask if he could help, if it there was anything additional we required(service not normally associated with modern DIY travel)..

Could have used a balcony but not really that important .

Everything! Breakfast, room, view, staff, beach, location. Particularly to staff who couldn’t have been more helpful and kind. Amazing place to stay.

We liked everything, the only thing which didn’t affect us and we didn’t mind but might be an issue for some, there was no wifi in our room (good 4g signal though). We didn’t care-it added to making it especially relaxing!

Excellent location, aircon working really well. Quiet at night and great terrace for breakfast. The staff are very welcoming and super helpful

A bit pricey. Would have been nice to have a way of hanging wet swimming gear and towels to dry and a washing machine service

No facilities in room to make a cup of tea, had to wait awhile for water to heat up in shower, no wifi in rooms

Our stay was wonderful. We loved the air conditioning especially with the heat outside. The room was very clean and spacious for my son and I.

As always a nice welcome back from the lovely manager and reception staff. Great breakfast on the beautiful terrace. Perfect location. Lovely view from the room.

Hotel still needs updating, I hope they can do it soon. Rooms are very old fashioned. Bathroom desperately needs a refit, shower is barely useable it's so small! Lots of mis-matched patched tiles etc.

Hotel Eden is located in an excellent position above the port and short walk to a beautiful small cove /beach great for swimming. The staff at the hotel were fantastic, very help full. The breakfast was great and the service was outstanding.

A delightful hotel. Great location above a perfect swimming beach. I had a large airy room with lovely sea views. The staff were brilliant… happy to help with any request or reservation.
