Food was excellent - both dinner and breakfast, lovely setting and secure parking .The bed was one of the most comfy I have slept in - ever! The concept of the hotel - with little shops facing the street and the hotel at the other end was a very nice idea - hope they do well . Our bonus was "pet-friendly" - lovely gardens for the dogs to run around.

Please needed a mirror close to a plug point in the room (18) to blow dry hair

Nice atmosphere. The staff were very friendly.

When I arrived, I was informed that dinner at the hotel was compulsory. I cannot find any reference to this in the conditions; in fact it is stated that there is no meal option with this booking. It happened that I planned to eat there, but this rule effectively sets the accommodation condition as dinner and bed and compels me to pay more than the quoted price. This is not acceptable practice.

This is a gorgeous boutique hotel and it is decorated beautifully! Each room is completely unique, mixing old and new. The food was INCREDIBLE! The staff very friendly.

water pressure in the bathroom was a bit feeble, but it is an old little town, and the hotel was full - so perhaps that had something to do with it

Amazing to find a country hotel of this standard in a very small rural Eastern Cape town. It is very tastefully furnished with period furniture, comfortable chairs and beds and modern bathrooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is secure offroad parking and wifi.

Loved this place. The decor, Chicken Nugget the dog, the gardens, just everything!

The only thing I can possibly think of is the bathroom could do with an extra rug on the floor as I forgot me slippers at home and the floor was cold.

The staff were all very helpful and charming. Beautiful gardens and surroundings.

Our rooms were charming shabby chic, but rather dark. No hairdryer in mine. And 2 tall cupboards but no hanging space in them, just shelves.

Food was really nice

The fact that the owners are NOT sharing tipps. We have been told that they wont get it because of discrepancies of stock at the end of the month, which is utter rubbish. I waited tables and worked in bars, Tipps are ESSENTIAL and should NEVER be withhold by the owners

Great gem in the beautiful little town of Bedford. In house restaurant, lovely baked goods at the Cafe, very kind staff and management. Private enclosed parking.

Breakfast could be improved. Some small issues were immediately addressed by management.
