The room was great, as was the pool and the restaurant. All the staff were very friendly. Jan, the driver employed by this hotel was amazing. This man is worth his weight in gold.

The beach is dirty. Why not keep it clean? It is a nice big beach which is ruined by the garbage.

The room was good, spacious, clean. The beach is right close to the hotel, solitary but good, big, the pool is good enough to go with children. The service at the reception was very friendly and they brought me a cocktail to my room. There is a parking lot inside, thats a big plus.

I didn't like the breakfast, it was very basic and it took a long time to serve it, more than half an hour. They roll the cutlery in napkins and do not give enough cutlery and napkins. Although the sea is right there in the hotel, there is no infrastructure such as reclining chairs to be more comfortable.

The place is quite nice and is being improved. The highlight is that lovely piece of beach in front of the hotel with access almost only to hotel guests. There are no private beaches in colombia and that is why beaches in cartagena and santamarta are full of con people charging hundreds of dollars for barely rubbing your back or selling you garbage passing as handcraft . Not here.

The mattress was too hard and and had an ugly mattress protector that was hot and made a lot of noise. There was no fridge in my room but seems other rooms did have a fridge.

The hotel has own territory and the beach. The best hotel in this town. Supportive personal

1. We paid the highest price for the queen size bed, but they do not have any differences between double room and queen size. Only difference is money. 2. Almost every morning at 6 am there is loud tractor near the window with sea side view 3. Breakfast

The rooms are in excellent conditions, its size is vert comfortable, and the overall quality of the bathroom, beds, mattress, night tables, desk, tv, and the main door of the room is excellent! Love it!

1) The size of the pool is quite small for the number of guests the hotel can accommodate, it’s design makes it look too crowded when a few people or children are in. 3) The cleanliness of the pool. The water of pool looked kind of dirty, it wasn’t cristal clear or blue sky. 2) The breakfast wasn’t enough for all guests because when I arrived at 9:00am there weren’t anymore arepas or scrambled eggs, and my plate was the size of a 1/4 of a plate comparing with the size of the rest of the plates from the other guests who were already there. Moreover, my service at breakfast took too long that I was served just the leftovers. 3) The night menu at the restaurant doesn’t have many options to choose from, and it only offers fast food.

Enriching experience at the border of the center of Riohacha, with the 'malecon' at a distance of a few minutes walking. With direct access to a semi-private beach and a private pool, the stay is very comfortable. Food is traditional, yet simple and well cooked for international palates. Rooms have a good view in general, with all ammenities (including fully functional AC for the heat sensitive people). The access to food and drinks is simplified with the little internal store they have in the hotel. Seems like a perfect short stay forn any kind of traveler, with/without family!

The surrounding neighborhood is not very accesible for the international tourist, as it is a residential area. On the night it might not inspire lots of confidence to walk around there.

Staff was friendly, we arrived with a dog. The service is a bit slow but they try their best. AC was not working properly, room was hot all the time. Water was coming soooo slow out of showers. Pool was bit broken and dirty. But compared to price, I enjoyed my time. Rooms were clean and compared to other coastal hotels, it was very good and I would visit again

Very pleasant hotel with spacious set-up, beautiful pool area and next to the beach. Good breakfast, very friendly staff and good wifi. Spacious and spotless rooms.

TV system complex to manage. Breakfast options could be more elaborate for a hotel of this class.

In Riohacha I always stay at Castillo del Mar. Most important reason is their people. All the staff members are fantastic persons providing a wonderful services!

Options at the restaurant might have more variety, Internet might require a more stable connection.

Beach front. Room was spacious.

Only gave me a small towel. Had to ask for another. Room doesn’t have anywhere to hang clothes or store them. Restaurant was horrible. Food was bad and service was even worse.
