We booked this hotel very last minute and we needed 3 double rooms. I have been to Italy many times and the size of these rooms are so much bigger than what I have had previously. I think all rooms have balconies, and some are sea facing. The aircon works really well, which you need if visiting Sicily in the summer months. We used the pool every day which was very well maintained and clean. The hotel also provides pool towels which is very useful if you are trying to travel light. We used the bar for dinks and snacks, the small restaurant for lunch and the main restaurant twice for dinner. The bar was a little over priced in my opinion for cocktails and soft drinks, but the two restaurants were good value for money. The Seafood Spaghetti and Lobster Risotto are delicious. The staff at reception, bar, restaurants and poolside were all very helpful and polite, they did a great job of welcoming us. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a quiet location with access to the sea via a jetty. .

The only two things that could do with improving are the bed mattress; they were way too firm for me and my family. It was the same for the poolside sun-loungers, they too were uncomfortable. You definitely need a car if you are planning to venture outside the hotel as walking is not an option.

I loved the grounds, the pool area, the access to the sea, the facilities but the staff get my top and full marks. From Emanuele and the girls at breakfast to Baldo at the pool and all of the rest of the team including those at the reception,and concierge desk. They were always there to help with a smile, suggesting, going out of their way, advise and reassure that you are being looked after in the best possible way. This is a gem in Acireale and a place to go back to.

Given that the hotel is 10 mins away from the centre by car, a shuttle taking you to centre would be a big help. A kettle or coffee machine in the room is a given and would be expected from a 4 star hotel. I also suggest the addition of Body Lotion to accompany the basic soap and body wash provided.

We would like to mention Emmanuele at breakfast for his fantastic disposition, always available, efficient and with a smile; and Giuseppe, one of the lifeguards at the sea!

Crowds during the weekend plus a convention, but that has nothing to do with the hotel of course and it is good for them. On Monday, when everybody left, the ambience was much better (for us) to stay at the hotel and enjoy the facilities.

Amazing place to charge battery. Hotel is in high standard. Room with beautiful sea view. Clean. Pool area really nice. Good bar. We definitely recommend and wish we could stay longer.

Breakfast in this price should have more variations/options. Only scrambled eggs and small sausages in hot breakfast offer.

It’s a beautiful place in front the sea, the location the service, the room and special the kind Paula who were very helpful when the flight was canceled; her assertive advice in order to handle the situation I was experimented made me so relaxing and have a good time in Santa Tecla Palace. Thanks Paula I won’t forget your beautiful soul. Also I want to write about the awesomest Federico and Alessandro in the Bar, they made our night before to leave Santa Tecla as a beautiful farewell, all the drinks we drunk were well and delicious prepared, we know flavors from Sicily and we enjoyed with gratitude for the great moments we had.

Breakfast

Lovely hotel and pool. Very clean, great wifi and air con. Plenty of sun beds. Good bar service. Access to the sea and some paddle boarding and snorkelling activities were available. Friendly and helpful staff.

No kettle in room. Too much reliance on plastics generally I.e. plastic-wrapped plastic cups, paper cups at breakfast instead of glasses, plastic spoons with ice cream in plastic pots. Even though there was a notice in the room about reusing towels, they were changed every day when they didn’t need to be and we had hung ours up for reuse. Although it’s not the hotel’s fault, there was very little in the surrounding area. We love to walk but there are no pavements next to the busy road so you take your life in your hands every time you go out. Restaurant menu in the evening a bit limited.

Great swimming pool with salty water, reception is 24/7 with nice staff in there. Bar is open till 11pm. Very easy to park here as the parking lot has a big capacities.

The air conditioning cannot be turned off unfortunately, I had to sleep in my jacket :D the entrance to sea opens after 9am, but it is possible to go to nearby beach.

The stuff was great, thanks to Emanuel for help and conversations. The swimming pool was great, it has sea water, a lot of sunbeds, access to the sea. The breakfast area is really beautiful, also there were the bar and nice restaurant. And kinds big parking lot

There weren't enough lights in the room

I booked 3 deluxe rooms with sea view. One of the rooms (216) had an amazing full view of the bay but the other two rooms (205 and 206) had a side view overlooking not just the sea but a car parking area. It is worth confirming where your room is situated. Plastic cups in the rooms for a 4 star hotel? These are very bad for the environment and I would have expected glass. The breakfast was mediocre and needs to be improved.

I liked the pool and bar service. Public spaces in the hotel are amazing.

We have got an improvement on our room which didn't seem like it. The room was old, definetely needs to be renovated. Towel and bedding were a little torn, that was weird.
