Great location on the east coast, really nice pool and a long beach as far as you can see left and right I have a few negatives points, I hope constructive, but overall a pleasant stay and I especially enjoyed sitting at the beach watching the sunrise.

Had to wait 2 or 3 minutes before anyone came to reception and then had to carry bags inside ourselves. Flies as we had a drink at sunset were a real pain. This needs to be managed. Annoyance that an adjoining door to the room next door in the chalet was poorly sealed so ai heard everything going on next door....

As repeat guests to this hotel we really like this hotel a lot. The hotel staff are so welcoming and so friendly and kind. They couldn’t do enough for us. Firstly the welcome at reception from the tall gentlemen with glasses(not sure his name) he made our check in so smooth and comfortable and gave us the best room and checked us in early which really made a difference as we were so tired from a long road trip. The other gentleman at reception Derryl was always so helpful. He gave us an amazing recommendation for a seafood restaurant which was absolutely fantastic. On our last evening when our air con stopped working in the middle of the night Derryl was so helpful he immediately switched our room and made sure the air con was working. The breakfast was lovely and Abdallah was always available to assist us and was very smiley and approachable. In the evening we were always greeted by host Shinsingh with a friendly smile. He took care of us with our drinks at the pool side terrace and made sure we were comfortable. Lastly a special mention to Dikshan the F&B manager who took care of us both last year and this year. Dikshan was always on hand to assist us, he was approachable and his customer service was above and beyond. One evening our car broke down and Dikshan saw us stranded and made sure that we got back to the hotel ok as we were lost and didn’t know what to do. It really made a difference to know that he was on hand to assist and he could translate between us and the mechanics and locals Arabic and English. Thank you to all the wonderful staff. We love the hotel, the rooms are comfortable as always and the hotel took note of what I said last year about the shower water pressure needing attention. Having the same room this year and last I can tell you that the water pressure is so much better and there are now beautiful toiletries in the bathroom which they didn’t have last year. Totally recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this wonderful Island.

Could be a bit more of a selection of food and hot beverages at breakfast. Definitely need to improve on coffee. The coffee machine doesn’t work well. The instant coffee isn’t the best.

The property as they say was the best in the island. This was our second stay with the resort and we’ve seen the improvement somehow with what it has to offer.

It may seem a bit too costly for a chalet that needs some updating. They have maintained the hotel but some small details need to be looked upon. Another small setback was the treatment of the local staff upon arrival. Omanis are known to be among the most hospitable in the region, for some reason we felt that guy fell short of it.

Maseirah is a magical place of calm and tranquility. We have returned to Maseirah Island Resort Hotel many times and it never disappoints. The staff are all wonderful. We’d especially like to thank Derrel, Dikshant and Abdulla for their warm hospitality and dedication to making every stay memorable.

The hotel is (relatively) old, but very well maintained. Some people may prefer somewhere more modern, but we feel it only adds to the charm.

Good resort option on the island with a nice pool. Directly next to a famous shipwreck on the beach which is cool for photos. Wifi was good in our room at 20 mbps. Staff very kind and helpful.

Hotel felt older than expected. Gym was disappointing. I didn't love driving to town to get dinner every time, so I'd probably seek out a guesthouse there on a return visit. But this is good if you prefer to have a pool available. Just a bit expensive for the value.

This is my 2nd visit to the Island and first visit to this resort. Currently its the kite surfing season due to the wind and the resort was almost full. The rooms are very clean and spacious. They provide 2 bottles of water free everyday and there is an electric kettle with tea / coffee making facility. In room WiFi is fast and very good. The view from the balcony was nice. A/C temperature was perfect. Bed was very comfortable. There is a refrigerator in the room to store your drinks / water. The bathroom had a hair dryer and free toiletries including toothbrush, comb etc. The room was very spacious. It also had a safety locker and weigh scale. Breakfast at the restaurant was good and very tasty. A big thank you goes out to Abdullah who was the restaurant staff person who always smiles and greeted us and was very helpful towards us during breakfast time. The beach is in front of the resort. Its like your very own private beach but you cant swim there as the sea currents are very strong due to the reef located there. Looking forward to visiting this beautiful place again next year.

There were no pool towels to be seen and there was nobody near the pool area to even ask for towels. The Jacuzzi was not working and I could not find a switch to switch it on and there was nobody to ask for help. I wish that the receptionist was friendly during check-in as it is the first impression any guest would have of the resort.

Fourth trip to Masirah but our first staying at Masira Island Resort. Great location, large room with pool and sea view (it looks like all rooms have this), lovely pool, excellent food in the restaurant. Service was 1st class: would like to mention Darel on reception, Abdul at breakfast and Arif at dinner who were very attentive and hard working. If you are into wildlife, this is the place: the information available on turtles, in particular, is superb. The hotel is not brand new and you can tell by some of the decor here and there, but that's fine by us.

This is our 2nd stay here & was just as nice this time as it was last time. Rooms are spacious & very comfortable. Breakfast is plentiful & varied. Staff are extremely friendly & helpful.

Breakfast very basic not so equal to standard of hotel. They try minimize cost. I think they should teach person in restaurant to smile more. He was ok but seems not professional for a resort. Booking charge more than direct
