It was a very pleasant surprise, I was only looking for somewhere to stay and I found this place and what a surprise. The staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for its guests and I do mean all the staff at every level and the setting for breakfast is worth it alone, freshly fried eggs on toast cooked just how I wanted them sitting with the river just there was spectacular.

There is nothing I can say that I didn't like - the first time I stayed it was great the second time I stayed it was also great. I can honestly say there is nothing bad to say about this fantastic place.

The hotel really feels like a resort, wooden house, pool in front of the room, "seaside" with boardwalk lots of running space, greenery and chicken running around. They have golf cart driving us to and from our room, although it's just 100 meters walk. Toilet is big, room is big too, bed is very comfortable for us. The few minus point are, it's drive through entrance is almost hidden, and it's not close to much eateries, there's a 7-11 at the exit though. The breakfast is acceptable, the pool needs constant maintenance but mainly the step into the pool is sloped, so making it difficult for getting in for a swim. Also the night we stayed, there was a party, although they stopped early, I couldn't imagine if it went on whole night, so do ask for quiet room.

steps to the pool should be repaired, insect spray the room before checking in guest, partying guest should be allocated into another area of the hotel. But all these are minor issues.

The pool villa is at the far end of the resort right on Kwan Phayao lake, the 7th largest in Thailand. There are numerous chairs to sit on for excellent views of the lake. A very quiet and peaceful environment. The room is large with all the amenities including a sofa for TV viewing and relaxing. There is a full buffet breakfast and omelets made fresh to your liking. There are three excellent Thai seafood restaurants right on the lake a short drive/taxi ride away for dinner and a Seven11 right across the road.

Location by the lake and rooms grouped around a pool makes for peaceful and relaxing ambiance, spacious comfortable rooms, nice breakfast.

Attitude of front office staff and manager. Provided different room from what had been booked. Manager did not come out of his glass cabin to meet us . Unwelcome reception. Unkept lawn besides the lake Shower cubicle needs door to prevent water leakage causing wet floor in remaining room

Naga Tara was the best hotel experience we had on our journey through Northern Thailand. We spent two nights in the villa. The location and garden right on the shore of the lake is just lovely. The rooms are spacious and clean. The owner seems to look after the resort very well. The staff is exceptionally friendly. We had a wonderful breakfast. I travel a lot and never write recommendations, but this time I really wanted to.

The location is a bit outside of the city and you need transportation. The staff is very helpful, so not a big problem.

There was a nice breakfast buffet and a manned omelet station. Nice people. The room was modern - bare concrete and pipes, like a hipster cafe. Spacious. Walk through the garden (50m or so) to a lawn and bamboo platform overlooking the lake. Quiet room. If the restaurant is closed there are a few other places to eat 5-10 minutes walk away. Off road parking for a motorcyle.

The view out of the room onto the poly tunnel greenhouses. The more expensive rooms look out onto a swimming pool. I don’t think any rooms look out over the lake.

A very great hotel. The houses by the pool are highly recommended. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I forgot my headphones at the hotel and we traveled to Laos. Communication with the hotel was very uncomplicated and the headphones were sent by post to the nearest hotel. Thank you very much for that! You guys are great

beautiful resort on the lake, with comfortable beds in spacious rooms. staff was friendly and helpful— most especially the manager, Ake. He tried very hard to make sure we had everything we needed. We were in one of the luxury villas around the pool … it was perfect except for the fact that the only curtains covering the big glass sliding doors were (wonderful) heavy blackout curtains. If you wanted any kind of privacy during the day (or night) these curtains had to be closed …. or you and your neighbour across the pool were able to see everything in the entire room! lovely bathrooms and decent breakfast, and it was nice to have the bikes for a ride. The pool and the view of sunset over the lake were both fabulous. Quiet and peaceful but not far from good restaurants!

The swimming pool is only available if you book the most expensive rooms. This should be clearly stated on the website. The shower was very bad boiling hot for a few secs then freezing cold. Coffee machine at breakfast not make hot coffee only luke warm.

Great staff. Ake on reception was so helpful-organised taxi for sunrise day trip to Phu Lanka. Always friendly and wanting to help with anything. Very professional and really wanted to make sure our stay was perfect. Great location overlooking lake- we upgraded to lake view but pool view good. all the staff very friendly and kept everything clean room, pool terraces. Rustic feel as not modern but great rooms beds and air con.
