The food was excellent, and the view was amazing. I loved the wrap-around porches and the furniture available on them (just wish I had time to use them!) This is a perfect place for a relaxing stay to enjoy water, hiking, or just reading a book.

There are a lot of stairs, so you need to be reasonably fit ie no dodgy knees or hip’s

The bungalows are located in an absolutely amazing garden. The rooms are very comfortable. The staff is very helpful. The food in the restaurant was great.

The place was clean, quiet and well connected to nature. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. Watched the sunset. The staff was very kind and helpful. There is no power in Lalibela due to the recent rebel attack, hence the generator was turned on from 7pm to 10 pm. Wi-Fi connectivity was only available in the reception, but it was a good way to disconnect. The local food, injera beef tibs, shiro bosera was excellent. The breakfast provided was good.

The resort boasts of having a swimming pool, steam bath and spa Upon checking in we found that the pool was dirty and dried out. I am assuming this is due to the recent security situations in Lalibela. The steam room was not working due to the electricity situation which again is a result of the recent attack by the rebels. I don't blame the staff but the management must update such key information in the booking.com portal and charge the customers accordingly. I was charged the full amount of 159$ for 2 nights , when we couldn't use any of the facilities. While checking out, the manager was kind and very understanding, he then called the owner of the resort to check if the rates can be negotiated, but the owner disagreed. I feel that when an establishment advertises the facilities they offer the customers, and by any chance if some facilities are not available, they must update the information on booking.com so that the customers don't feel disappointed.

That we were the only people in the resort. The staff would do anything we asked for.

1. The shuttle bus from the airport was not included in the price. It was 200 ETB per person. 2. CONSTANT HAGGLING from the local guides for the church tours. 3. No internet in the Rooms had to go to reception for a signal. 4. There are only two teabags and 4 satchets of sugar per day. 5. The swimming pool was freezing - the only reason we booked this location was because of the pool very disappointing 😩😩😩 6. No light's on the first night along the path to the room, and no staff on duty in case of an emergency. The whole place was locked up, and the lights were all off and felt very unsafe indeed. 7. The confirmed price was 184 US dollars, and the resort then added a service charge, and then Vat, this should be included in the final price. 10.They Don't accept US dollars as a card payment. 11. The breakfast menu wasn't clear as with most places, it's a buffet. Here, we had to choose and was not informed how many items we could choose and felt as if we may be overstepping the mark.
