Great Stay at City Hotel Winschoten! We had a very pleasant experience staying at City Hotel Winschoten. The location is perfect — right in the heart of town, just a short walk from the train station, shops, and restaurants. It’s a convenient base whether you’re visiting for business or exploring the area. The room was clean, quiet, and well-organized, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was cozy, and the Wi-Fi connection was fast and reliable, which was a big plus. What stood out most was the warm and friendly service. The staff were welcoming and always ready to help with anything we needed. Breakfast was simple but fresh, with enough variety to start the day well. Overall, City Hotel Winschoten offers great value and comfort. We would definitely stay here again!

Hotel has a cosy atmosphere. Breakfast is perfectly arranged, they ask everyone personally if you want a baked egg/bacon combination (or just baked eggs). Furthermore: enough sockets available to charge your mobile telephone, tablet or other stuff (much better than in an average hotel). Friendly personnel! 👍

The hotel room was a bit outdated, but maybe others are more modern, but so far not bad. The shower water was not located in the bath tub, but next to it, in the open area of the bathroom, thus shower water goes via the bathroom floor. Where the shower in the bath tub is more comfortable, when the bathroom floor stays dry. Last but not least, the room + bath room was clean! And that is most important. Thus finally, hereby still a good review and stars from my side.

Great location near town centre, and across road from train station, as well as great takeaway shop next door!! Staff were extremely helpful and courteous . Have stayed here a number of times, and feels like home-away from home!

Not much to dislike, other than it is a dated facility - considering it was built originally pre ww2. Shower water temperatures also fluctuated…. But considering what we paid it was still good vallue

The free parking onsite, the warm welcome from the owners and the level of cleanliness of the room.

The toiletries offered could have been a bit better. Also, it would have been better to have a door in the shower so that water won’t be splashed everywhere in the bathroom.

Karin and her husband run a relaxed friendly hotel and ensured we were made welcome and ansered any questions about the area we had.

Ideally the on site restaurant would have had a chef so we could have given it some business but plenty of other restaurants very close by.

The hotel room was large and spotlessly clean. Good sized bathroom with a bathtub also. I really liked that there were so many plug points in the room to charge our devices. Also the refrigerator and safe were a bonus.

Nothing - it was a great stay.

The Hotel is sited very well, just a few minutes walk to the town center and all amenities. The breakfast buffet had everything you needed.

I think, Thanksfully to the administrator, There were no neighbours in this room throughout the entire stay. They also take care of refugees.

There were no garbage packets in room trash can.

The staff's friendliness and helpfulness.

I would have liked a British breakfast (but that goes for just about every hotel breakfast).
