The Comfort Inn at Susanville is one of those little gems you find that makes your day . The place felt like home, from the very friendly staff to the really great breakfast you just felt welcomed. Mr Larry Memmott and his staff were fantastic making you feel so welcome and very helpful in any enquiries that we had regarding places to go, road conditions and changing reservations I cannot thank them enough. If you are travelling to Susanville California stop at the Comfort Inn you won't be disappointed

Breakfast was better than most hotels and started early enough that we could enjoy it before a day of hiking. Room was big and clean, with a fridge, microwave, and TV. Nice town with lots of food places to choose from, including the Pizza Factory in the same parking lot. Stayed here to visit Lassen National Park and while there are closer places, we loved the convenience of being in a real town with store and restaurant options.

Only issue we had was noise. Cars/motorcycles racing down the street late at night and the door into the building slamming shut right outside our room both late at night and early in the morning. Might have only been our room location on the first floor by an entrance/exit, but recommend bringing earplugs. The entrance nearest the office had a controlled-close door so it didn’t slam, but the one by us didn’t have that slow-close feature. Second floor is probably quieter.

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. A restaurant conveniently across the parking lot.

We arrived in the breakfast room around 8 AM and found no eggs or sausage. We waited 20 minutes for the eggs and had to hunt the cook down to request sausage. He brought out sausage which was cold as if he took it right out of the refrigerator and served it.

Rooms are incredibly large and clean. Hotel is walking distance to food and shopping. Staff were great. Plenty of free parking. Stayed here while I worked in the area and I feel like that was the case for many who were staying here. Can’t speak to the breakfast as I didn’t have time for it. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was killer. Waffles, eggs, cereal, coffee, lots of stuff. Room was great. Vending drinks and snacks in hall. Ice dispenser is INSIDE. Exercise room is nice and convenient. Room location was close to parking. They do have pool with handicap lift but it was closed for winter. Overall 9.7 out of 10.

Bed too soft for me but my friend loved it. Tile floor in bathroom is very cold, we ended up putting towels down. Coffee maker in room was dirty so don't recommend using. These things are very minor.

Room was quiet and dark. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Very nice (and very busy!) young man handling both breakfast and checkout simultaneously.

NOT ONE SINGLE TOWEL BAR OR HOOK IN THE BATHROOM!! Plenty of spaces to put towel bars and hooks. Really???

The staff were polite and attentive. The bacon at breakfast was a treat. The room was good with a small table and desk, each with a chair. There was a comfortable easy chair with an ottoman. The TV was large with abundant channels.

The pool was an L or boot shaped, smaller sized pool with a capacity of 30 people, although with 10 people, it was crowded enough. There was very, very limited shade for swimmer's or sun bathers. There were some serious issues in the bathroom of room #133... it took some serious wiggling to get the faucet to work...there was a very poorly patched hole above the bathroom mirror...whoever caulked the area around the sink needs to find a new job and a strip of wallpaper was missing under the bathroom mirror.

Clean and comfortable.

Oh that hair dryer was dreadful. I’m not sure if it’s the model or the unit. Noisy and ineffective. I’m sure I could have asked for another but didn’t bother. Also, my husband had to call twice to reset the blinking light on the phone (messages?). Don’t know who would be calling us there…

Love this hotel. We can honestly say every hotel that we have stayed at so far in Susanville has been fine, but this hotel was beyond expectations and will now be our Susanville hotel for visits! I usually dont care for the hotel waffles but they had some pumpkin spice ones that blew me away! Everything from check in to check out was great. Beds comfy, hotel clean, awesome view from rooms, quiet, and close to everything.

The breakfast was far about my expectations. I am used to staying at hotels in this price range so was very surprised by the selection at breakfast. I have not stayed at a lot of Comfort Inns for a while but my stay here has convinced me to try more in the future.
