Loved the historic nature of the hotel. Martin was very nice and accommodating when it turned out I’d accidentally booked two rooms. The room was very large with a kitchen area that included a fridge and quite a few small appliances. It was in a hood part of town, close to the only 2 open restaurants in town.

The hotel was pretty old and we were a little concerned about using outlets and appliances. Floors squeaked pretty bad and were loud when we or others walked up stairs or in the hall. The bed frame was old and creaky. My husband and I kept each other up all night because we’d both wake up when one of us moved it turned over. The batteries were dead in our tv remote. I called and Martin answered right away and was very nice. He said he’d bring replacements right away but never showed up. Even the next day someone came in and made our bed but didn’t replace the batteries in the remote, even though we’d left the remote open on the desk because we’d thrown the bad batteries away.

This was much more like an AirBnB than a hotel. No staff. You just walk into the building and the key is in the door to your room. An old building with long staircases up to the rooms. Doors let out into a common area where people can hang out. Rooms are decently maintained.

Breakfast was a package of store-bought muffins and some cereal, plus things in a fridge that I couldn't tell whether could cook myself. No ice machine -- the freezer section of the fridge had a bag or store-bought ice, but it was almost empty.

The building was on the main street so restaurants, info centre, museum, grocery stores and other stores were walking distance (within 2 mins). The room itself was very large. The first bedroom at the front was spacious, had a TV, two bedside tables, two chairs and a small table. The view from the window was the main street which was not noisy at all. You walk through to a fully stocked kitchen with dining table and three chairs. Next on the right was the bathroom with toilet, small shower and sink. At the back was another bedroom with a double bed, two bedside tables, TV and a chair. Both bedrooms had outside+ doors and windows. There were doors that could be closed between the two bedrooms and kitchen. The rooms were clean and had lots of pillows and towels.

You had to either phone or go to the home of the owners to check in. The home was only a two minute drive, but still. The toilet is for kids. It is so so low. It was difficult to get up from once seated. It was quite noisy because it is 100 years old house with original flooring. The guests were good in that they were quiet after 10 or 11 at night.

Nice and cute hotel, old building with lots of character. We had a room with a kitchen area. Large room, super comfortable. You can park just in front of the hotel... and there is the best mexican restaurant across the street. Perfect location to visit Stewart, walk the boardwalk on the estuary and go to the Fish Creek Wildlife Observation Site (Bear Viewing Platform) in Hyder, AK.

Charming place with a great shared searing area and small kitchen. I appreciated the abundance of coffee and the kettle for tea.

Main street location means limited street parking and noise from the street. A quiet town but a not so quiet street. Perhaps there was additional parking I didn't notice - it wasn't a problem for me in the shoulder season but in the summer it could get tight.

Great location on the main street. Hotel was exactly as expected: heritage, quirky, with lots of character. Comfy bed and the room included everything we needed for a one night stay. Temps outside dropped below zero overnight but we were plenty warm inside. Silverado restaurant is pretty much right next door. Had a great value dinner there.

Loved everything. Especially comforting was the European touch you can feel all around the property, being from the Netherlands. It’s managed by the owners, which you can feel in all the care and communication. I was upgraded to a cabin after I had to change my dates, which wasn’t any problem. Will definitely be coming back!

Loved the big bedroom And bathroom, so clean and loved the old style. Much more interesting and friendly than new modern facilities. Windows that open a plus, and kitchen facilities and big living room in common area very nice especially the toaster! Great location too.

The stairs could be a problem for some😏. Worth knowing about in advance just in case.

Everything was fine buf the best bit was being on the second floor and being able to use the sitting room and lounge area. Thus was great for us as the hotel wasn't full and the rooms are a bit if a tight squeeze. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Rooms a bit tight. This is an old timber building. It creajs, the floors aren't straight, the doors and windows don't close perfectly. Tons of character .

Historical building. Spacious. Good bed and sanitair. Feels like back in the old days. Love this place.

Maybe the rumor of the opening and closing door of the restaurant downstairs (and music) or the guests upstairs: but it’s an historic building, so you know upfront, we didn’t care and…. It’s all forgiven because of this nice place to stay 👍
