The location is not on the main city in the island, so it was really relaxed and had nice beaches nearby. The room was very comfortable, and the shower had hot water and shampoo, conditioner and body soap. The staff is really friendly, helped me with my bags on my arrivals and to rent bicycles and giving me advice of places and restaurants and coffee shops. The wifi was also reliable, and didn't have any problems with it.

Not that I didnt like, but to have in mind. Since it's not located in the main city, it might be difficult to move around without a bike or car. The bus stop is close by though, and you can also rent electric bicycles to move around.

Everything is good. Maybe the sleeping rooms are a bit basic, but you'll spend so much time lazing around the shared space or at the beach you won't mind.

Frank was so lovely, made sure I had everything I needed and went out of his way on several occasions to help me! He even bought me birthday cake on my birthday~~~ the place is peaceful and facilities are great. Even the little things are thought of so well.

One of the most genuine hostel experiences I've had. A true backpackers hostel. Quiet, cute, unassuming. Frank the owner has been running the hostel for 11 years. He is one of the nicest, most helpful, and genuine hostel hosts I've ever had. Picking me up and dropping me off at the airport. Providing restaurant recommendations, helping arrange taxi, we had dinner one night together. He does it all with a smile. Having franks Whatsapp to message if I needed help was very useful. The rooms are spacious, with amazing aircon which is perfect for the hot Taiwanese summers. The bathrooms are also very clean and well maintained. The hostel is just a 5 minute walk to a very nice beach with beautiful scenery and proper waves flr surfing The town of Shanshui is small, there's not much going on but it's very relaxed for that reason. Surprisingly, several very good eateries are nearby. Including the Garden Tapas Bar, BBQ and Seafood restaurants. I'd come here again

Frank… there are many things that make this place great, the great location, the windows and balconies in dorms, the great communal area etc etc… but what makes this place special is Frank. I have never had a host do so much to make their guests happy, and his mood is always happy, he is a truly special person… thank you Frank!

the nearest convenience store is about 20 min walk. but you can borrow a bike and get there in 7. they are currently building a 7-11 nearby so shouldn’t be an issue soon.

Booked this because of the good reviews of Frank, the owner. The reviews were more than right. Frank went out of his way to help us. The hostel is such a cozy place, really close to the beach and there us a great BBQ place around the corner.

The hostel owner was so nice to us, he recommended tours for us and helped us booking them. And helped us with everything. He made our stay at Penghu very pleasant!

A place that i feel like HOME. Very comfortable and the owner Frank is very nice.

It is not located in the town, but you can reach town by bus or taxi or sometimes the owner can fetch you to town.

Frank, the owner, is just the nicest person ever. He was so accommodating and went out of his way to make sure that I have a good time. Thank you so much! Can't recommend it enough!
