Gloria is a phenomenal office manager and housekeeper! She was sooooo helpful and willing to go out of her way when others wouldn’t. The lodge is rustic and older but NOTHING beats the location and the friendly staff. We stayed on the second floor and felt comfortable, secure, and free to have all the fun Kernville has to offer within a short 5-minute walk. I loved it, my wife loved it, my kids loved it. We will DEFINITELY come back!

Nothing major. My wife thought the mattresses were pretty stiff… maybe could use a pillow-top or something to soften it up. Also… one of the arms in the lazy-boy chair was caved in. That’s about it.

I loved that it made me feel I stepped back in time, the red fridge was awesome. It was hard to figure out how to shut off the A/C, but at the end, we could. I loved that the room has two entrances. The bathroom is very little, The water was rusty when it first came out, but then, it got clear. Lots of room for your clothes, very homey, I loved it overall. It is a bit hidden, but when we called on the phone to find it, the lady who answered was helpful.

It was a bit hard to find, little hidden, it was late at night though.

Lovely location opposite the river, with seating outside to enjoy the views. Parking in bays opposite the lodge. Air conditioning was a little noisy but we turned down the fan and it was ok. A fabulous kitchen with everything we needed to cook our meal (although no oil, this would be a great addition to the cupboards). There were outside bbq’s for coal, but we decided to cook indoors and eat outside instead. Wifi worked great. Comfortable bed, although a little too soft!

Loved the fact we had the whole lodge to ourselves. Master bedroom with ensuite. Plus family bathroom . Cot provided for 2 year old. We were 3 generations, so this was important. Messages promptly responded to by owner. It’s a small town with many great options for any meal within walking distance. Thanks to the loose leaf guide in the property, we were able to get to an amazing sequoia trail - “ The Trail of 100 Giants”. Also, Easy drives to the lake and boating options.

Works going on opposite. Loud, dusty and it blocked the access to the river and playground. Had we been told in advance, we might have booked elsewhere. Owner said they hadn’t known and gave us late checkout.

Lovely place, real kitchen and living room w a divider to the bedroom portion, very comfortable in a quiet nook yet close to everything. Easy working w staff prior to arrival. Friends stayed at another inn nearby, I liked mine much better, will happily return again.

Had to fix a loose faucet on the fly, without proper tools- some aspects of the shower definitively need some TLC/proper maintenance. Useable, no serious issue, ought to be tended to though. Ventilation had a smell, presume from some prior guests? Minor, maybe the system needs a cleaning/filter? Able to ignore after a short while. Not uncommon in motels to find this scent.

Wonderful little place to stay for a trip to the Kern River. Very convenient location, and great price ($85 for a night for us). It has a lot of amenities for such a little place, and the host was kind and answered the phone and told me how to check in when I arrived.

It was listed as being big enough for four. The pull out bed was insanely uncomfortable. There seemed to be some kind of memory foam thing on it that was malformed by being in the couch, and made it extremely uncomfortable. The other, actual bed was fine though. The heaters were also very loud.

Jennifer and Gloria are absolutely 100% amazing ladies. Someone is always there to help if any problems occur. They are very accommodating and want you to really enjoy your time. I have stayed at many other hotels in Kern and Kern Riverfront Lodge hands down is the best! They are also very affordable and let me tell you, you get the best place for your buck. After staying there we never have stayed anywhere else and will continue to stay with them.

This place is located across the street from the Kern River that passes through here and alongside this lovely park across the street from this hotel. This is a super lovely setting nestled in the mountains. We had a bench on our front porch and also in our back porch! Amazing views from both our backdoor windows AND front door windows. You MUST stay here if you want a super fabulous place. You will not be disappointed. Fabulous views with the mountains and river across the street. This room was super adorable to the max. My friend and I saw it and HAD TO STAY. We are soooo glad we did and you will too! Gloria at the front desk was exceptional. She is super friendly and courteous. She was "the" only friendly person we encountered in all of Kernville as far as staffing in any hotels or restaurants. Everyone we encountered at the park across the street was friendly. Regarding staff at the other two hotels {not this one} and a store where there was a subway and our waitress at Cheryl's Diner were all not friendly. The cottage we stayed in exceeded our expectations. The mini-split worked the best of any other hotel that we stayed. The kitchenette was adorable with retro-style red fridge, red microwave, and red toaster added such elegance to the kitchen. Large 5' fridge accommodated all the food we brought. We had a front yard and back yard for my service dog which was suuuuper fabulous. My doggy found a treat behind the front desk and Gloria had no problem my doggy Silky taking it and enjoying it. That night he found another treat in the back yard. We later placed a written request to Gloria on her desk to gift us another. Before we knew it, she brought it to our door. My doggy was in heaven. We were in heaven. This place is super clean, super adorable, super comfy with digital entrance on both door knobs -- to backyard and front yard.

We need a second night but we had failed to make prior reservations and had to find a different place. We REALLY wanted to stay here another two nights. These accommodations were "the" very best we found in all of Kernville.

The property was beautiful and across the street from the river. The unit was beautifully decorated and they provided everything for a nice stay. We were treated well by the staff, easy going and very comfortable.

Among the 5 of us, no one had any negative to say about the property, centrally located in town, walking distance to local shops and restaurants.

I was pleasantly surprised by how wonderful the lodge was. The facilities were spotless and everything one needed was available in the cozy rustic room/apartment. The staff was super friendly. The best part of the stay was being able to walk across the road to swim in the River.

I did not have more time to stay and enjoy Kerniville.
