The restaurant has great food, the drinks are cold, food is hot and tasty, staff is friendly and the setting is relaxed and pretty with string lights. Over all good vibe. Loved the birds and the seating area near the pool which is a great place to unwind and have a chat. Aircon in the room was perfect for our Sydney family.

You do have to get to the restaurant early because some dishes have limited quantities but they keep the board updated so you can choose something else before you hit the counter. The sprinkler system comes on around dinner time so you are dodging getting soaked when crossing the park to get there but if you’re there in the warmer months that could be a plus.

The motel is off the main Stuart Highway so there is no road noise and is just a short drive to Bitter Springs and into Mataranka township which doesn’t have much except some small supermarkets. All rooms are ground level with the car parked immediately out front. I liked the fact the room had the air conditioning on when we arrived and was pleasantly cool. It was a good split system and there was also an overhead fan running. The room was nicely presented with a natural colour scheme, natural woods such as wooden exposed beam ceilings, tiled floors and an interesting use of corrugated iron on the wall behind the bed. The bed had pretty decorated pillows with a blanket and two pillows. We enjoyed the outdoor seating near the bar and restaurant. The grounds were spacious and there was a pool. The food at the bar and restaurant was excellent! We had a coffee and spring rolls as a snack - very nice - and it was very pleasant to sit at the outside tables in the afternoon. Unfortunately we missed the music that runs Wed-Sun, especially as fellow travellers gave good reports.

Really comfortable queen room, great TV reception and very good luggage storage, fridge size and really good room size. Cafe and restaurant provides well priced good food and drinks. Entertainment every night from a fabulous band a superb evening. Hard workers running this property.

Bathroom window vent style not right for preventing mosquito's as it does not include a mosquito screen. Please clean up cafe/restaurant toilets if you are staying there no one wants to use them and has a walk to hotel room or caravan park your drink goes warm and your food goes cold.

Everything was a is expected. Kitchen food was perfect and lady in the bar was very helpful, as code for my keys did not work after 20 entries, lady at the bar re assigned a new code. Leg Shank had for dinner was best ever had in the NT

Very low hot water pressure in shower. Room Smart TV continue jumping to smart adds, with a 5 second flash accross the screen, covering the picture, as was watching AFL and was annoying.

The rammed earth room was comfortable and clean. We had our evening meals in the dining area (outside) with peacocks walking around - lovely. We went to both the Mataranka and the Homestead springs, and saw the “We of the Never Never” homestead which is a replica of the original one. ( for movie purposes.

Didn’t expect to find a crocodile at the Mataranka springs. Yes it was not a big one but still a freshie just down stream form the swimming area.

The location just outside of the CBD was excellent. Comfortable rooms. Michael and his wife Charlene were lovely. Charlene went to great lengths to make our stay a good one. The restaurant food was good and the bar area was nice to sit at over a few drinks and dinner. Would definitely stay there again if stopping in Mataranka.

The beds were a little hard.

It was the right time of year for dining in the outdoor restaurant. Plenty of parking for the 10 metre long truck I was driving . Clean and comfy room. $18 for a jug of the Manor Mid strength beer was a bargain and delicious.

I like to leave the key in the motel room on departure. Not use a drop box at the office. Simply my preference as I forget to drop the key off as I'm thinking of the trip ahead. I rang the office and posted it back. All good.

Really pleased with our stay here! It wasn’t one of the big 2 accom options we had heard about but in fact so glad we stayed at this one (we visited one of the others the next day and thought it felt the nicest!). Super easy check in after hours, food was great with nice vibes. Lovely modern bathroom in our family cabin. Overall exceeded our expectations and close proximity both springs/pools! I think ‘motel’ sells it short, feels more like a holiday park! They should market it more that way :)

Slightly better lighting at pool would have been nice for an evening swim as the temp was so nice! But I’m just being picky. There was nothing we didn’t like.

It was easy to find. Check in was super quick and hassle free. The grounds were beautiful. The air con was running in our room on arrival, always a plus on a hot day.The meals were beautiful and really well priced..It was also close to all the beautiful thermal pools and hot springs, will definitely be back 😀

Our unit here was just what we needed for a one night stay, simple yet comfortable. Bathroom, AC, TV, tea and coffee making facilities and outdoor furniture. Also a swimming pool. 2.2km from the Bitter Springs, easily walked if required. The on site restaurant and bar well worth a visit, the food was great, thank you.
