Dominique and Patrick are such lovely hosts. The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent. The outside space is a tranquil oasis and Dominique's breakfast was a feast and featured some amazing homemade items. We paid extra for the massage which frankly was one of the best we'd had. Highly recommended.

We found Le Refuge to be an exquisite oasis in the midst of a multi-week drive down the Rhone River during which we explored the history, the wine and the gastronomy of the region. We stayed in a half dozen properties on this trip and this was the best experience by far! From the welcome, to the comfort of the room, to the quality of the bed and linens, to the...., well, the list goes on. It was absolutely a divine stay. Each night, after a long day of self-indulgence, we spent the waning hours of sunlight sitting outside listening to the birds, smelling the fresh air and enjoying the peace and quiet. Oh, and let me mention the breakfast - it was freshly prepared and served with flair. Personal attention was paid to our tastes and each morning we were greeted with a goodly number of local sourced honey, jams and treats. On top of everything, the host was kind enough to listen carefully and generously to my struggles with French and ensured we found a nice nearby winery to visit. Generous hosts in every way, we highly recommend you book Le Refuge when in the area.

I didn't like that it was time to leave and keep heading down river. I should have booked more nights!

Everything was perfect, a luxury place to stay! We slept in Eglantier, which was perfect for 2 personnes. Nice little terras to sit in, large bed, very clean room. The owners will do anything to make you feel comfortable. Swimming pool was heat with very good sunbeds. The breakfast was housemade and beyond expectations, fresh juice, fruits, sweets, cheese, … owners very willing to help. We also hade very good massage and diner over there.

Location was good for us but not in the center.

We liked everything.

The breakfast was excellent and we could order it nice and early when we had an early start. It had all the tiny extras which you wouldn’t get at a hotel like freshly squeezed orange juice. It was all nice and quite to get a good night sleep. There is a really good restaurant 10 minute walk away. It is really a place where you can getaway and relax and forget all your troubles.
